This is buffet style sushi with some cooked dishes. I wanted to try it and see how it compares to…read morethe buffet style sushi I have eaten in the U.S. and how it compared to the buffet style sushi in the mall in Joao Pessoa.
The firs thing I noticed is that there is a surprising amount of cheese in this sushi. Many of the rolls include cheese, which might be a Brazilian thing, since the place in the Joao Pessoa mall also had cheese in their rolls, though not as many as Tay San. Compared to the U.S., where you might have one or two variations on Philadelphia Roll but no cheese in the rest, I felt that the amount of selections with cheese was too much.
Second, this is buffet sushi, and is not as good as sushi prepared to order. It is...OK - maybe a little lower in quality than the sushi buffet restaurants I know of in the U.S. The cooked items are OK as well - they tend to be on the oily (or cheesy) side, but tasty.
The price is reasonable, and if you want sushi quickly and at a reasonable price and are willing to settle for buffet quality sushi, this is not a bad place.
