It also has basic sushi and sashimi. The menu has a good variety of choices. We ordered 2 Peking Ducks to share. I was actually surprised that the duck was so good! It was much less fatty than typical duck in the US. While it wasn't true Peking Duck (it was grilled), the duck was very tasty with the thin wrappers and condiments. Apparently it's a popular choice here. Two of us enjoyed sashimi, and four of us chose their prix fixe menu which included starter, second course and third course selection of rice/noodles. For less than 15€, I had Chicken corn soup, Duck with Mushrooms and Bamboo shoots in a tasty sauce, and fried rice. The rice was nothing special, but again the Duck dish shined. I came back 2 more times during my stay and ordered the same duck dishes, opting for white rice. Lunch has a similar €15.50 prix fixe menu and also includes a drink (coffee, tea, beer, wine, soda), and dessert. Service at this family run place was pretty attentive and the server willing refilled our small shrimp chips basket (another fav snack of mine).

Sandra and I started out with the shu mai and onto the seafood hot and sour soup which was flavorful and light without being overwhelming. The soup was excellent. Main course we had the roasted duck and the Cantonese fried rice. The duck was extremely tasty and delicious. The duck was accompanied by an orange soy sauce that gave hints of duck ala orange which again gave a very light zest to the duck without being overpowering. We enjoyed the fried rice which had shrimp in the recipe. The only drawback was I would have enjoyed roast pork in it as well but all in all it was still an enjoyable dish. For desert we had the fried chocolate wantons which we very unique and delicious especially accompanied by a raspberry dipping sauce as raspberries always compliment chocolate. I really recommend trying this restaurant if you are in Barcelona. I know I'll be back again next year.

Melo Jia serves traditional tastes fused with Spanish flavors and the result is mind-blowing! We could not get enough of the eel and caviar dumpling.
