I placed an order for a bereavement floral arrangement to be delivered the following day. Living in Florida I knew nothing about Chinook Florist and regret I did not read the YELP reviews prior to placing the order. I ordered "Pink Perfection" which contained pink and white carnations and assorted greenery. What was sent was yellow and pink mums, looking nothing like what I wanted. I had added on a generous tip, anticipating the order delivered would be what was represented in the photo. They quickly charged my VISA card, and communication came to a halt. I requested they inform me when the arrangement was delivered. Never happened. A family member who happened to answer the door for the delivery sent a photo he'd taken. What a disappointment. It looked like I'd ordered the least expensive arrangement offered. In reality, what was sent was not even a choice on the Chinook Florist website. I sent an email to the florist, asking if perhaps my order had been mistakenly switched with another. A week later, still no response from them. They do not answer the phone, so I was unable to speak with anyone. So much for an offer for a replacement or refund if their arrangement was unsatisfactory. I had to laugh when I saw they advertise they will send the buyer a photo of their order when it is being delivered. An expensive mistake on my part. Customer support is horrible, they work on eastern time which means no one will answer you calls after 2pm, but they will still take your online order for delivery that day. My flower arrangement order was completely messed up, the company didn't deliver the right flower arrangement, nor right flowers, nor the right colours. I have ordered a few times from them without issue. But the last two times they have left me without an order at the last minute because they said they can't deliver on my selected days. One was on a Sunday the other was because they said I was too late to order. When I selected my orders it allowed me to select the delivery dates I wanted and processed my Visa and took my money. The website states that they take several credit cards, and it turns out that they only take one or two, which is confusing and can prevent customers for closing a deal. Several flower companies (even in poorer and less developed countries) provide a picture of the actual floral arrangement, for the customer to see. In this day and age, it is absolutely unbelievable that this company does not provide a picture taken with a phone, which is the absolute minimum. I ordered flowers on February 13 to delivered on February 14. My order was confirmed and I paid the extra $6 to make sure it was delivered during business hours (before 3:30 p.m.). The website was easy to use and allowed me to search by price/occasion/ etc. The only problem was that flowers were never delivered. Frustrated, I went to their website and found the number to call them. I got an automated message telling me to call back between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. (it was 4 in the afternoon). They never once attempted to contact me saying the flowers would not be delivered on time, nor did they contact the person receiving the flowers (in my comments I said call the number in case of any issues). I also tried to send an email to them expressing my disappointment. The site offers a live chat option, which does not actually link to anything. Beware of Chinook Florist!! They are absolutely shocking! Just shoot yourself in the foot now, it will be less painful then dealing with Chinook Florist. A week before Valentines, i ordered a bouquet of flowers for my girlfriend to be delivered to her at work, i even opted to pay the extra $4 to guaratee delivery by 3pm (what a joke that is). Needless to say the flowers didnt show up by 3, or by 5.30 when she was leaving work. You can imagine my surprise when i picked her up for dinner and she was livid with me. Trying to explain to a visibly upset woman that the flower delivery people are incompetent idiots is possibly the hardest challenge known to man. After dinner i rush to the flower shop to pick out a bouquet, along with a ton of chocolate, she accepted my apology after that. So the next day i get on the phone with these ppl (after several calls and being put on hold until "an available operator can take my call"), you immediately know nothing is going to come of it when the guy answering on the other end starts off with (in very broken english) "where are you calling from today?" . According to the flower company, the flowers were delivered at 6.45pm and they contacted my girlfriend as well. Easy enough to verify, unsurprisingly, they never called, emailed, carrier pigeon or anything to contact my girlfriend. The flowers were not delivered the following day either. Call again, finally get a hold of someone who seems to have a glimer of an idea of whats going on. Apparently my girlfriend needs to go pick up her own flowers from the warehouse otherwise she doesnt get them. I honestly cannot believe someone on this planet would actually for one moment think, that anybody's girlfriend would want to go pick up their own bloody flowers from a bloody warehouse on the other side of the city. Of course they refuse to refund me, as the flowers were "attempted to be delivered". So i took the matter up with BMO who were gracious enough to remove the charge to my MC. When I called them and complained, telling them I was calling from Italy and NOT to put me on hold, which needless to say they did, they said they were very sorry and would be sending flowers again the next day for my daughter's b'day. DO NOT USE CHINOOK FLORIST if you want a quality product delivered on time. I've used then twice and both times had bad results. The first time the delivery arrived with the flowers badly damaged. After I complained they sent a new, larger arrangement the next day which arrived in good condition. When it came time to order another arrangement to be delivered to my wife's work for our wedding anniversary, I thought I would give them another try, thinking it was just bad luck on their part the first time. Bad move on my part. They failed to make the delivery and when I learnt of this at 4:00 pm on our anniversary, they were already closed when I phoned them (who closes their business at 4:00 pm in this day and age??). The next day when I contacted them they said they had a "system error". There is no real substitute for missing an anniversary delivery, but I thought they should at least be willing to send the arrangement a day late at a discounted price (frankly I believe any florist worth their salt would send the arrangement free of charge). No dice with these guys. The best they would offer is that I pay full price and they would add extra flowers. I ordered flowers for my mom on mothers day and they arrived long after 5:00, some little kid was sent to the door to deliver them, and they were not the flowers I ordered! (they also died in 3 days) It took forever to finally get a hold of someone through email (I tried calling but no one ever answered) and was told that they ran out of the flowers I paid for so sent these instead. It would've been really nice to know that in advance since I ordered the arrangement a week before mothers day. They have offered to send me a 50% refund three different times now, (every time I contacted them asking where the refund was they acted like the had no idea and offered another one...same person every time I might add) each time saying it will be processed within 7 business days.
