As a whole, the staff are really nice. They work fast and keep the place clean. Overall the food is good. It's a 50/50 chance if they'll have the vinaigrette available. My bestie, her two kids, and I stopped at Chipotle to grab lunch to go. Upon walking in, my 6 year old nephew and I both noted that the restaurant smelled extra clean and fresh and full of good food smells. We had a a lengthy conversation about it. I have struggled with Chipotle the last few years as I feel like the standards have almost certainly dropped. However, this visit was one of the best I have had in a while. Not only was the space clean and fresh, but the employees were kind and efficient. They gave good portions of each item-- not too much or too little. I left with a perfectly filled bowl. They didn't give me a hard time about adding vinaigrette (as sometimes happens to folks). My only complaint is that some of the food items were a little bland-- the white rice didn't have much cilantro lime flavor and the black beans were under seasoned as well. Overall, it led to a bit less of a satisfying lunch, but based on everything else, I would return to this location! read more

I had my first disappointing experience ever at any Chipotle restaurant, and it was on the afternoon of April 2 at the George Washington Boulevard location in Springfield Township in Akron. I waited roughly 12 minutes at the carryout window in the pickup lane. The order was supposed to be ready at 3:10 p.m. I arrived about 3:13 p.m. and drove right up to the carryout window. About five minutes passed before an employee came to the window. Then another six minutes passed before they gave me my food, which was prepaid and preordered and was sitting there ready as soon as I arrived. But I went ignored and did not receive my food until about 3:25 p.m. Cars were backed up behind me. I absolutely realize that restaurant work is demanding, challenging and often under appreciated, but this Chipotle did not appear to be incredibly busy inside, and numerous employees saw me at the window for what I estimated was 12 minutes. Once I was given my order, no apology was given. This was extremely disappointing and frustrating, and it makes me very reluctant to order from this Chipotle again following many satisfactory visits in the past and usually outstanding customer service. read more

I would give 1 1/2 stars if possible. We tried to order a cheese quesadilla, BUT they would not make it unless we ordered it online. It should not take 10 minutes to make a quesadilla. This makes it very difficult when you have a little kid who will only eat cheese quesadillas. Secondly, the ice machine was out. Third off, there was corn floating in the sour cream. I love Chipotle. I recently moved to the area and this place is five minutes from my house. I eat there at least once a week. Its COVID I get it that things are weird. What drives me nuts is I order online and waited inline 30 minutes. At one point the line didn't move for six minutes. They need to hire one more person to just hand out orders. This was at 6:45 PM on a Friday, I'm pretty sure ANY restaurant would know that you need all hands on deck. Maybe someone called off? But this is the second time this has happened. With that said, I've had other nights (weekdays) and I pull right in, (I still have to wait as I look at the person who does not acknowledge me) and I get my stuff in around 2-5 minutes. Again, they need one dedicated person to just hand out food. It's never a case where its not ready. I just have to wait for a person to hand it to me. Very Confusing. One time they messed up my order. I came in to have it redone. Didn't get a single apology. I know this is a new location, but you have a good product, but a horrible process. Everytime I've ever been to this location they're always closing the store down 2-3 hours before the actual closing time. Portion sizes are always super skimpy, the staff won't refill ingredients on the line and will say they're out when you can see them carrying the ingredients around in the kitchen. The staff rushes you like they just want you out. I have to mention the portion size again because it's just absolutely ridiculous getting home and opening the bowl to find the tiniest bowl when normally the bowl goes past the brim. The smallest portion of rice, smallest portion of meat, denied salsa, smallest sprinkle of cheese. If you ever have to go here, im sorry if you do, ASK FOR DOUBLE EVERYTHING. I am sorry but the Springfield Chipotle has had its share of issues since covid but consistently being out of things or forgetting things with online orders have been among the worst issues. Hard to believe that out of all the Chipotles in the area this is the only one that runs out of 2 of the main meal toppings. I walked in to get a burrito today which I've done three times a week for the past five years. When I ordered my burrito they gave me 6 small cubes of chicken. I pointed out that it was the smallest serving size I've ever seen at any Chipotle ever, and I did say it nicely. They asked if I wanted double. I said no I want a normal size. Keep in mind I don't get much on my burrito as often they will call it a baby burrito when they are done. No rice or beans etc. she said that's four oz and I said it looks like 2 oz. They refused to even consider my suggestion so as I decided to leave they said a couple rude remarks "sir would you like some more chicken (laughing)".
