I have been seeing Vascura since 2007. I am a disabled senior citizen. Over the course of my…read moretreatments, as Vascura stated many times " call if you need treatment". I would do that and receive an appointment with-in 3 to 4 days after I called. As time past I was seeking less and less treatment. My condition has worsted over the years, which is expected. In the latter part of 2020 my appointments were scheduled 2 weeks after I called. Than my appointments were made 3 weeks after I called. This continued until April of 2022. I called his office for an appointment. I had awaken one early morning with excruciating pain in my lower back. I believe my appointment was set for a week away. After a day passed, I called again.Vascura always said, " call and we'll get you in here for treatment" I was granted an appointment much sooner. At my appointment I requested additional treatments, pain clinic intervention an mri and consultation on possible surgery. The Bureau of Workers Compensation granted my request for treatment. I received mailed copies of the forms used granting treatment. In the second week of May. After a week and a half I called Vascura's office inquiring about treatment. I was told the office did not have the proper paperwork. The following week my wife called and was told the same. The denial of receiving the forms last over 4 weeks. I then called my case worker. The following day I received a telephone call asking if I could come in for treatment. During this treatmen, Vascura informed that they "just received the forms". When I called my case worker she said that the forms had been faxed to Vascura's office at the time I received my copies which was the second week of May. The office set my appointments 1 to 2 weeks apart in the future . By the middle of July I received my last treatment. After the treatment I request additional treatments, an mri, pain clinic intervention and consultation for possible surgery. Vascura choose at that time to deny me the requests I made. Vascura denied me solely by ignoring my request. He did not send requests in my name to the bureau. I was not told by Vascura as to why he no longer wanted to treat me. I have rarely missed an appointment and I was rarely late. I was always polite. I was always clean and dressed well. I have always treated his employees with respect. i spent several weeks working with workers comp. I requested another chiropractor which was finally settled in middle Oct. As of now because of lifestyle I will not be able to receive additional treatments an mri, pain clinic intervention or consultation until February. I have filed a complaint with the Ohio Board of Chiropracti. I am waiting on their response. If I could rate a minus 4 I would.

She started in Assisted Living and moved to Skilled Nursing, where she resided until the Lord called her home. I looked at every Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Home in the Zanesville area, as well as all in the town I live in Texas and I could not find a better place to care for my mom, that had the needs and the continuity of care that I knew she would need. No Nursing Home or Assisted Living is perfect, and we had a our share of issues, but I would not change where she lived. Most of the nurses, aids and support staff become like family and are extremely caring. The therapy department is also very good.

I wanted an internal medicine doctor but Dr. Barnes was not available so they gave me Dr. Vinsel. Nice enough guy and fairly well skilled. I had complained of short term memory loss and he sent me to a specialist for sleep apnea. I wasn't buying it. I went to see a doctor in Cambridge and all they had was a PA. This girl was smart enough to have my blood drawn and they phoned me that afternoon that my AIC was nearly twice the borderline limit. I had been misdiagnosed by Dr. Vinsel and it took a physicians assistant out of the area to figure it out!!!! Worse. Dr. Barnes wouldn't treat me because I had already seen Dr. Vinsel. Go across the street to Muskingum Valley Health Center.

Also, no respect for confidential info. As patients filled out some info update form, they can be overheard laughing, out loud, at patients' info. where people in waiting area can overhear! I was shocked! Also Dr. Vensil's nurse had a lousy, unhelpful disposition and always rushed! She actually missed noting one of the supplements I had mentioned to her which was a big factor in that it caused irregular thyroid blood work! I called and requested callback from office manager, Kim, but she never called back which just tells me they don't care, so it compelled me to air it here. Nowadays, medical care is expensive, I refuse to settle for crappy service from front desk to doctor. I will drive to Columbus for quality med care; it is worth the drive! It makes a big difference when your health and sometimes life is at stake. There are good people in Genesis system wanting to improve its brand, but there are some (not all) employees they can do without, unfortunately.
