There's more to Chish and Fips than its witty name.
The geniuses who first opened this shop were really onto something, cashing in on that unexplainable yearning for fish and chips one has when at the beach. Whether it's the 'I was so close I could have caught it with my mouth' ocean encounters we have, or simply that the salty salty sea water fills us with cravings for more salty salty things, Chish & Fips has hooked on to a great idea.
On the grassy knoll of Coogee Beach, this take-away store has a constant line and its tables are almost always full. The fish and chips are fresh and delicious, the calamari is great and the burgers are good too. Actually, to be honest, I don't know if the food is fantastic or if it's just the symbiotic relationship Chish & Fips has with the beach.
It might sound like I'm not saying much about Chish & Fips, but really there's not too much to say. It's a fish and chips shop that pretty much sits on the beach. That's all you need to know. read more
