I was short on time, but could not resist checking out the high ceiling space with mosaic tiles in the front part of the store. I missed opening day tastings by a day. No worries, they still let me try a silky smooth maple caramel filled milk chocolate shaped like a maple leaf. Normally the tastings will be on the weekend I am told by one of the owners, who walked me around the still unfinished (decorations wise) shop. They have chocolate on a stick, clusters or chocolate, balls of chocolate, chocolate spreads and even chocolate shaped like little mice. I must return for more indulgence in the near future. The goodies may not be made on site, but it's made locally I'm told. Either way it all looks delicious and worth the calories. I almost forgot the best part (in my mind), they are due to receive a hot chocolate machine any day and will place it up front. This is sure to draw in window shoppers and those seeking a quick warm-up. read more
