Quaint Tea Room, clean with a shabby chic vibe. We were out running errands on a busy Saturday. Decided to stop in for Tea and some amazing French Cream Coconut pie, the pie was great, the tea was wonderfully refreshing. The entire Staff was attentive to us and getting set up for a big High Tea gathering. Everyone moving in sync to one another. If you haven't made the time to stop by. Do it! The food is delicious and the service is top shelf. Maybe tell your boss Monday, I'm not feeling well, a good spot of tea and some pie will help for sure! Stay safe

On many Fridays, I stop by Chocolate Angels to-go to pick up some special treats for the weekend. Today I picked up the Spaghetti Supreme for a dear friend who is going through cancer treatment. Spaghetti is his favorite food, and Chocolate Angels does it well. The staff who works in the to-go side of the restaurant are always the nicest and makes you feel welcome.

I've only been a couple of times but I walked in yesterday with a sweet greeting and a welcome back. The waitress, Judit, said I know your face but not your name, well she knows my name now! Sweet lady! I wanted mg usual pot of caramel nut tea and my soon to be husband, wanted a late lunch. We both ordered the Angel trio, I got the cup of chili (cup of soup), half chicken salad sandwich and the pink arctic freeze. I could eat a whole bowl of the pink attic freeze, it's fabulous!! The chili is excellent, very hearty and super flavorful with a touch of heat that isn't overwhelming to the flavor. I wasn't as impressed with the chicken salad, was a bit too much onion for me. Just an excellent meal though with exceptional service! It might be a tea room but the overall ambiance is friendly and welcoming! I can't wait to go back again!!

I've been to a few tea rooms and this one ranks middle of the road for me. It's set up as you would expect out of one with the floral decor and white settings. The service was very good. This was my second time there and both times, no issues. Friendly and attentive service. The sandwiches and salads are mediocre, although my salad on this last visit was pretty good. My fave thing to get there besides dessert is the tomato basil soup. It is so creamy and good. That and the dessert is why I stop in when I'm in the area. On this trip, I got the pineapple upside down cake and took a slice of the coconut pie to go. Both were amazing! It's a good thing I don't live close by or I'd be there often.

I have been to this restaurant many times!! The trio salad plate is my favorite. Several salads to choose from and always delicious! Their sandwiches and soups are very good also. The only reason it didn't receive 5 stars was the service. We sat for awhile with servers walking by several times before stopping by and it was almost empty at the time we went. Other than that it's a great place to go for a girls luncheon! Give it a try!

This place is SO cute & quaint! The atmosphere and soft music make it so zen and it's perfect for catching up with your girls or a classy lil celebration (birthday, bridal shower, baby shower) We made reservations for 4:30pm (tea time ends at 3pm I believe?) so we ordered a pot of tea and some bites. Grilled cheese & tomato basil soup was fantastic!! As were the desserts, we especially loved the coconut cream pie. We also got a sampler plate and the cucumber sandwich was my favorite of the 3 (cucumber, pimento, chicken salad). For our tea pot, we ordered the Signature White (LOVE this tea!) Our waiter Jonathan, made the whole experience as amazing as it was -- Service is 10/10! We didn't want the tuna sandwich in the sampler so he substituted for chicken, we weren't sure which tea to get so he brought a tray for us to smell the tea leaves. He put our cake orders on the cutest plates (we were celebrating birthdays), brought us a complimentary cookie, took pics for us. He even changed out our tea set to give us matching ones (I know, we're extra). We stayed til almost 6pm and didn't realize (closing was 5:30pm) and he was so nice about it too. Jonathan was amazing!!! He made us feel taken care of the whole time and the charm of the place just goes up 5X with amazing service & and a kind host Go here. The perfect tea time!

Part of my birthday celebrations included an afternoon tea party with my friends! I chose this tea room after reading a few reviews on it. I really liked the ambiance here and it was a packed house here. They do have private tea rooms to reserve I believe but I didn't want it to be that formal. All of my friends arrived looking so amazing. We ordered a pot of tea for the table and got the cutest tea pot set to accompany it. We all ordered a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches to try and share. I was hoping they would Have more of a tiered shareable option like tea parties but they have a sampler plate I also ordered just to have more food. I ended up ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato soup! The grilled cheese was delicious and the bacon was crispy. We ordered every dessert they offered as well and shared them all. We ended up having an amazing time and I really liked this tea room. I may try the Plano location for my next visit to see how they compare! I would definitely recommend this place for good food and a nice vibe.

Chocolate Angel is a great location to go with your girlfriend (s). Their restaurant is small but mighty! In the nicer weather, they have nice outdoor seating. We shared the pot of hot tea but had to pay individually for each tea bag so it was $8.99 for a pot of hot water? That's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. The soup was hot and thick and very tasty with a giant crouton on it. My sandwich was so good and the chips seemed homemade, although she told us they weren't. I would recommend this as a great outing with friends, although you probably want reservations. I want to go back for high tea! Afterwards, walk around the shopping center and shop in the little stores. They are fabulous!

This review is for the bakery. They do awesome birthday cakes. They are pretty, and taste homemade and are super easy to order and pick up.

Ask the Community - Chocolate Angel Cafe & Tea Room

    What are the prices like?

They have salads as low as $7.99 and most sandwiches are around $12.00.

What's the biggest room and how many people will it hold for a baby shower?

I'm not sure, but the last time I was there, there was a fairly large party of around 30, seated all together, but it wasn't a separate room. This was at the location inside the antique mall.

An absolute gem in Richardson -- we'll definitely be back!…read more La Casita Bakeshop completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming, and our server Diana made the whole experience. She was knowledgeable, genuinely enthusiastic about the menu, and so pleasant to talk to -- exactly the kind of hospitality that turns a good meal into a great one. The food itself was outstanding. We ordered the French Toast and the Birria Brisket Croque Madame, and both were incredible -- beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The Croque Madame especially blew us away; it's the kind of dish you think about after you leave. The side hash rounded it all out perfectly. And then there are the pastries. We grabbed the Mango Sticky Rice Cream Puff and the Amaretto Cherry Basque Cheesecake Brownie from the Weekend Selections -- both were stunning, not just visually but in flavor. The cheesecake brownie topped with those cherry meringues looked almost too good to eat. Almost. Washed everything down with the Salted Honey Matcha and it was the perfect companion to the whole spread. Honestly, the hardest part was choosing -- the menu is so creative and well thought-out that we already have a list of things we want to try next time. And there will be a next time. La Casita has earned a regular customer. Highly, highly recommend.

Great food, but front-of-house operations and management are a total mess…read more My family and I finally visited La Casita Bakeshop over the weekend after seeing a lot of marketing for it. While the food itself was definitely good, the front-end operations were incredibly poor, and the service left a lot to be desired. The serving staff seemed completely untrained and lacked basic common sense, right down to knowing how to properly handle plates and utensils. To make matters worse, we encountered the shift manager, Jesus, on Sunday, May 24th. Not only was he arrogant, but he completely lacked Customer Service 101 skills. At one point, he told us the wait time would be an hour, yet there were four completely empty tables inside and servers were just standing around idle. He is clearly an inexperienced restaurant manager who does not know how to efficiently run a floor or manage a team. A major caution for potential guests ordering takeout: The staff has absolutely no clue how to properly pack food. They packed runny eggs into a standard cardboard box, which inevitably leaked right through the holes and made a massive mess everywhere (see attached picture). On top of that, for a bakery and coffee spot, they didn't even carry basic options like 2% or Lactaid milk. My humble suggestion to the owners is to invest some serious time and guidance into improving your front-of-house operations and management training. The kitchen is doing its part, but the front-end experience and sloppy packaging are dragging the whole establishment down.
