Just walked into this chocolate shop to look for a snack. The man working there rudely asked me if…read moreI had any business there. I said I was browsing, and he told me that was not allowed. Seriously. He said "no looking, leave." I asked how I was supposed to buy something if I couldn't browse, but he just kept repeating I couldn't look around. He was extraordinarily rude, so I walked out after signing to him that he was #1. I didn't get a chance to taste the chocolate, but I'm assuming it leaves a bitter aftertaste, just like the douche working there. I'm hoping my review will encourage others to avoid giving this place their business. Edit: I found La Chocolaterie in the square on the corner of Place Marceau and Place Du Cygne. The staff there was extremely friendly and the chocolates were delicious.

They have really interesting flavors (figue, mirabelle, cassis) using in local fruits in season but also exotic fruits (lemons from the philippines) from around the world. The young lady who's there most of the time is very friendly , always willing to explain away and her English is very good. It definitely warrants a 25 mn detour on the way to/from Giverny and the drive is really nice.
