The concept is intriguing, vibes are great for e.g. team building outings where people can loosen up over debating selections, cooking shared foods, and probably too many beers over the spicy hotpots. Food tasted good, although not great nor refined to me. Be aware that the hotpot broths are somewhat oily, and many of the meats have quite a bit of fat. This place has changed hands a couple of times and the last time I was here, it was a Greek restaurant. I was invited here for dinner by a friend and we ended up here last night. Not sure how long it's been open for and I assume, less than 2 years. It's situated over two floors and the downstairs is in in a brick walled cellar. Upstairs there is seating for about 50 with a big bar and kitchen and there is an outdoor terrace for the warmer months. The menu is on a tablet and you can choose and order based on a limited set of options for drinks and food. The mainstay here is hot pot a new fad taking over Munich :-) Modeled after the traditional Chinese hot pot places with a big difference, way too expensive for what you get. There are plenty of choices for vegetarians and two broths to choose from. We ordered three different ones mushroom, curry and spicy (should have chosen the extra spicy in hindsight). You have to order a maximum of 12 things to go into the hot pot at a time and, each item counts as 1, like 4 scallops counts as 4 items, really annoying as you have to wait 15 mins before you can order the next 12. Each of the items is also so small that you barely get two or three mouthfuls in a serve. So considering it takes 30 mins to order a round and receive it at your table, it's slow going if you are really hungry :-) The app on the tablet was really annoying as when you are scrolling it randomly picks items and puts them in your cart as it's too sensitive to touch. This meant that each time we had to go back to the cart and remove items, before going back and picking what we really wanted, annoying. I much prefer the places where all the items are at the table and then you can pick and choose the order in which you cook and eat, not here. The app will max out at 12 and then you have rethink what you want. Staff are really nice and the ambience is also nice. They have a small selection of wines and mostly reasonably priced. Flavour is lacking generally and they kept diluting the broth by adding water to it which meant the hot broth just kept getting milder and milder. Without the sauces on the side this would have been a very bland meal. Also some of the seafood was frozen when it arrived at the table and the crab still has the plastic wrapping on it straight out of the freezer. The scallops were frozen when we received it at the table. Not sure many people would like that at all, we certainly did not. Dessert choices are limited but we did end up trying four of their Asian flavoured ice creams - matcha, black sesame, ginger and yuzu - probably more Japanese than anything :-) Ginger was the best and the rest lacked the intensity of flavour you commonly get with these in Asia and when properly homemade :-) The coffee was served almost cold and its never good when you serve an espresso like warm. At over €40 a head this is an expensive option, considering what was delivered to the table. I don't think I would rush back here in a hurry. Value for money is really lacking and there are a few other places that deliver much better flavour for less money in town. read more

This is the only good hot pot place in Munich I've been to. And by good- I mean the food is of good quality. The soups are authentic, and the meat, seafood and produce are all of high quality, and the dipping sauces are legit. The other hot pot spots I've tried in Munich all use much lower quality ingredients. The ambience is also really nice and the service is good. There are however a couple things you should note before going- 1. Do not order the spiciest one- if you just order normal spicy- it will still have your tongue burning. 2. Ordering is via iPad- and although you can order an unlimited number of items to add in your hotpot- you are limited to ordering 3 every 15 minutes. So plan accordingly. 3. They are pretty heavy on the oil in the soup- next time I will ask for less. All in all- great place- especially for cold weather- and I will be back! read more

The restaurant that keeps you hungry. Me and my partner visited this restaurant at 6:15 pm, when there were only a couple customers in. First we saw a bartender with a headphone in and tried to order with her, she just directed us to another staff member. We were then greeted by a couple people and no one spoke English. Unfortunaly, we weren't off to a great start with a language barrier. Someone directed us to a table and pointed to a QR code. Neither of our phones could read the QR codes, so they handed a paper note filled with options to choose, in German. Since neither of us spoke German, we had to translate everything with our phones, but eventually we did order. The food took probably 15 mins and it was good. We eventually got the QR code to work and ordered more food. It took half an hour and we were starving at that point! Our soups went cold, because the gas had to be changed. We got our food, but the server forgot us, and after 15 mins we went to get her and she changed the gas. We did order a 3rd time and again waited for a long time. We were at the restaurant for 2,5 hours! Servers went by our empty table and we were ignored. Servers went by our table and no one even looked at us! Surely they saw the table didn't have any food, we just sat there. This is the first time I felt like leaving a restaurant in the middle of eating, we were literally ignored and forgotten by the staff, if you don't speak English, DO NOT GO HERE. + the website didn't work well and did not have all the options that the paper did. read more

Very enjoyable ! Nice ambiance and good food. I lived in China for many years, and this place is solid. It took a little to get used to order from iPad and 10 items every 15 minutes, but once we learned how it works, it was super! Will go back again about 30 euro per head without alcohol.
