Amazing Thai food and owners. It is the best Thai food I've had and will always eat here when in the area. A relaxing place to eat.

You honestly cannot go wrong with anything that you order from this establishment. Everything is so incredibly good with great flavor and trust me their level of spiciness varies depending on what you can take! I order take out quite a bit from here since the restaurant itself is pretty small and gets packed quickly during lunch hour. But decided to eat in with two of my co-workers. Their lunch special deal is pretty good as it comes with a salad (their ginger dressing is so good!), a starter that you can choose from either vegetable dumplings, spring rolls or corn fritters and then of course your entrée starting at $8.50 (Price slightly varies depending on your protein and rice choice) My go to is always the Regular Fried Rice which has eggs, onion, tomatoes, Chinese broccoli and scallion and you can choose your protein (Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, Pork, Squid and even Tofu or Vegetable). You can also substitute the type of rice you want. Its usually sautéed Jasmine Rice but they also offer brown or sticky rice for an extra fee. Plus you can also pick the level of spiciness you want it cooked it. If you absolutely love hot and spicy food, then go for their Thai Hot. The level of spiciness is super hot yet still very flavorful! I find it hard to eat when I'm starving so sometimes I just opt for Hot and throw some more of their spicy sauce on top lol Yes I love Spicy food! Also, not every place knows how to cook brown rice and this restaurant definitely does and its delicious. My other two co-workers got the Chicken Pad Thai and the Chok De Spare Ribs in Curry. They absolutely loved their dish! Only negative this place has its that its small with no restrooms but honestly the quality of food is what keeps this place always packed with returned customers. I really wanted to like this place. Staff is so sweet and accommodating but their food is eh. I only ordered from them once but I found the pad Thai to be very dry and the pad se ew to be weird tasting. Overall, I would say both were very dry. My gf recommended coming here because it's new and she loves pad see ewe. The place is very small. Dining is only for 3 parties.There are no bathroom for use. This place probably used to be a yogurt stand. The food is great. We shared the pad see ewe, duck with tamarind sauce and the mussels with basil sauce. I actually debated in my head to order Roy Thai or here. I'm kinda sad i ordered here. I ordered the Thai Basil Lunch special with tofu. It was supposed to come with carrots zucchini peppers onions and basil. and a side of vegetable dumplings. It did not taste like thai basil and was lacking the quality and ingredients in the actual dish. The dumplings fell apart and were not vegetarian, i disposed of them. So bad. Everything was fantastic! Ordered takeout on a Wednesday night. Given covid, the pickup was so easy, they brought the food right to the front door. As an appetizer we ordered the shrimp summer rolls, great portion size for the price with three dipping sauces - amazing peanut sauce. It's my local Thai place now and I'm so happy it is run by friendly owners that also happen to be awesome cooks. They have their regular menu but they also run some specials. Just call in and ask or request a Thai dish and they may be able to whip it up. Medium spicy is spicy and I do like my food with heat so order accordingly. Place is pretty small with a handful of tables so I usually do take out. You can order online too! Lots of parking available in their lot and I believe they are BYOB but no restroom available. read more

Chokdee is an exotic and exciting entry in the normally calm landscape of the Norwood food scene. Just this evening my friend and I had the pleasure of dining on some of the best Thai food the area has to offer. We started off with the Golden Fritters, which are deliciously deep fried chicken and shrimp dumplings. For entrée, we had the classic and filling, Pad Thai with squid, and the spicy noodle dish, Pad Kee Maow with tofu (I like tofu!) We left very impressed not only with the food, but the friendly service we received and the clean, simple décor of this small charming restaurant. Once again Chok Dee proves that you can have AMAZING ethnic (in this case Thai) food in the northern Jersey 'burbs! We brought our houseguests here from LA and they were literally amazed with how incredible this Thai food is. Better than anything they had in LA. I'm not exaggerating here--just try it! To be fair, we have only had the following dishes, but they have all been super: Red curry, green curry, massama curry, tofu with ginger sauce, pad thai, fried tofu appetizer, papaya salad, salmon with ginger sauce, and maybe a couple other things that I forget but they are all beyond compare with anything else in Bergen county, NJ and I would put them up against the best Thai restaurants in NYC. Went here yesterday with my parents for lunch, and everything from the food to the service was great!! I ate the chicken Pad Thai, and my mom had their shrimp Regular Fried Rice. We both got the corn fritters on the side with the Lychee juice as our drink. (Forget what my dad got...) The food was very good, and also in good portion. I wasn't bloated or left hungry. Would DEFINITELY go back again! When I was there a family at the other table had crying kids, and it was a little annoying, but not a big deal. But the server came and apologized (she didn't have to) and made sure we were still satisfied with our meal. Sometimes restaurant owners and servers have a bad attitude, but the lady at Chok Dee is very nice and sweet. read more

The food here is very authentic and well priced. Come here once in a while for lunch and the food is always delicious. Very friendly restaurant that always caters to their customers. One thing I love about this place is the fact that they have fried chive cakes which alot of thai restaurants don't have. Their curry puffs are also super flaky and delish! It's also pretty big and filling so be prepared to share! Their dumplings and entrees are good, but I wouldn't say its their specialty. I brought my two girls but it was a slow night so we really lucked out (also no public bathroom) The food is really delicious and our server (I think the owner) was very carrying and considerate. The chicken satay is OMG to die for. One of the best I've had. The Tom yum was a little salty, actually almost everything was on the well seasoned side but it was still in good taste.
