Great concept - the chicken is fresh and juicy, and I LOVE that it's Global Animal Partnership certified for humane treatment. One of my favorite things, though, isn't the chicken. It's the corn! Their corn on the cob, which is seasonal, has Chook salt (yes, we bought some for home), cotija cheese, parsley, brown butter, and some other magic. I could eat several servings in one sitting. All the sides I've tried have been good, and I like that you can choose different sauces for your chicken. Plus, the staff is always super nice! read more

We unknowingly arrived there 5 minutes before closing (COVID hours). Not wanting to impose on them, we started walking out but the cashier said it wasn't a problem and he'd be more than happy to serve us. Ordered a salad with added pulled chicken, charred mixed veggies, celery-apple slaw, booyah stew, and an avocado chicken sandwich without cilantro & w/o skyr-lime dressing. Arrived home and they had omitted the pulled chicken on the salad; salad was pretty sparse on top of that. Sandwich had cilantro and skyr dressing we had asked to omit. Stew didn't taste of much. Other sides were just okay. Overall, wouldn't go back. Not great value for the price, and we've had better more flavorful fare from restaurants of that "healthier/more natural" variety. read more

Yum! Do yourself a favor and try Chook! We got the Chook for 4 (even though we're 2) which consisted of a chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli, salad, and Mac n cheese! Needless to say, everything was wonderful and fresh! read more

I placed a nearly $70 takeout order through the online website. The food arrived, but it was not ours. Texted the driver back, called the restaurant twice and left voicemails...no response. This place is solid. Excellent food. I especially loved their chicken salad - it is so good.

I will never understand the popularity of this place. The food is flavored so poorly, the vegetables taste like ashes, and get this- it's a chicken restaurant but they will not allow you to order white meat only. Uh... some people don't want dark meat, some people don't want white meat. Even KFC has managed to figure that one out. I'm forced to eat here for business lunches from time to time and I've concluded that the best thing on their menu is iced tea. Yuck. read more

I have never had a bad experience at Chook. The employees are always so kind and accommodating, and the food is to die for (if you like chicken salad, I'm serious, get this chicken salad...on top of the carrot salad, which was a pro tip from the employees - delish!!). Both restaurants are very indicative of the owner, Adam Schlegel. That man knows how to run a successful business, and it's apparent in the people that work for him and the food they serve. We finally got a chance to pick up Chook a few days ago after recently moving to Denver. Despite the pandemic, we were served excellent food that traveled back to our apartment really well! I loved the dark meat and Mac and cheese combo, and we also really enjoyed the charred veggies. The pickup process was super sanitary, and the food was still warm when we got it home. SO GOOD we also had some rose wine which was some of the best I've had. The owner is super friendly and so are the employees. So happy to have them as neighbors!! Will def. be back. Ok fine. I try to eat mostly vegetarian, but this menu was TOO GOOD! Also, anytime a restaurant primarily cooks their dishes over coals is a win in my book. It's not easy, but SO worth it when you figure it out. Needless to say my order was bomb. We got the dinner for two & the chicken was AMAZE BALLS! It comes with two sauces for the chicken but it doesn't anything. We got gravy (bomb) & the piri piri sauce which is a red pepper sauce (also bomb). We had 4 sides all of which were thought out & perfectly seasoned. These guys offer a great catering menu, a la cart & booze. I don't get this place. Been twice now, once to the first location and today this spot on 8th. Chicken was very dry the first time, undercooked to the point of red and gummy today. Sides like the cauliflower and sauces like the chimichurri aren't as good as Rotary's at Avanti. And most of all, it's $16+ for a quarter-chicken with two sides, which is ludicrous! read more

The chicken was good, but not worth $20 given that the taste was not exceptionally better than a Costco/Whole Foods chicken that costs less than half the price they charge. This was a nice place for a light dinner between three people. Like most chicken places, the sides are tiny and forgettable, and the chicken was ok! I'd come back here to try a sandwich. ...but I would probably pick it up to go to avoid the shrieking children in the kid's play place smack dab in the center of the dining area.
