Heard this place was wonderful and it exceeded our expectations!! It is pricey, this is not a cheap date kinda place... but the atmosphere, service and quality of food can't be beat. We got here right at 5pm when they opened. Despite not having a reservation, we were seated immediately in the empty restaurant. We sat at one of the floor tables, must remove your shoes, but they have slippers you can borrow. I can't say enough about the food. Everything we ordered to include the appetizer and drinks (mai tai) was amazing! Highly recommend, we'll be back for sure!! read more

Since arriving in Wiesbaden 2 years ago, I have found some great Thai restaurants, but this one is still my favorite. They have provided takeout during the pandemic and I have enjoyed that as much as eating in. Chookdee is worth the time it takes to find parking, which is difficult. I suggest parking at the underground garage at the Kurhaus that is about 3 blocks away. read more

Best Thai food in Wiesbaden!! The food was authentic, spicy where it needed to be, and, most importantly, absolutely delicious. To top that off, the service seemed perfect (totally unlike so many other services in this town). I wandered into this place, by chance, with my partner and loved the experience. I felt refreshed and happily full :) secondly, the restaurant's interior design and decor was a sight to see. It felt like we were transported to Thailand. This is by far one of the best and most beautiful Thai restaurants I've ever been too...not just in Germany. The food is amazing and two pepper hot was just right but hit the back of the throat a few times, made my eyes water and brow sweat. The restaurant is quaint enough to be romantic or comfortable enough to hang with a friend...just make a reservation. It's Monday and all tables were reserved. Luckily, they let us sit at the bar but it was a VERY tight fit. Way worth it. read more

Great ambience. It was a neat experience to take our shoes off and sit on the cushioned floor. The decor was very cute. Great service. Relaxed environment. The food was spectacular. Always friendly and welcoming. Food is served fast and tastes amazingly delicious EVERYTIME. I definitely recommend. Two thumbs up!

I would have given 5 stars but the server was rude, slow, and acted disgusted with us. She even asked us if we were going to add a tip to the bill. This is very uncustomary and was quite surprising, especially since she treated us with such disdain throughout the meal. The food however was so so good!! Absolutely fantastic food. Let me start by saying that the food here is really good. However, the service is atrocious. I made a reservation for 5 people and the table they showed us to was only for 4. I kindly asked if we could squeeze someone else in and the waitress rolled her eyes at me and said I'd only made a reservation for 4. My friends and I squeezed into the table and asked for an extra menu and place setting. After 40 minutes no one had asked for a drink or food order despite us putting our hand up or signalling that we were ready to order. Eventually we managed to order after grabbing another servers attention. The table that sat down next to us and had ordered after us got both their food and drinks before us (we'd only ordered water and tea). Turns out the waitress forgot to put our orders in. Fair enough but she never apologised. As we all paid separately and in cash, I guess we were 20 cents under and instead of asking for more money the waitress grabs 1 euro from my friend without asking and doesn't explain how much change she was giving back. At this point I'd had enough and decided to ask for the manager. Apparently she was the manager and I decided not to complain to her but the other waiter asked what was wrong. I told him that I felt that she'd been incredibly rude and disrespectful and that I didn't want to come back if service was going to be like this. I guess he told her and as we were leaving she yelled at us "bye don't ever come back". I guess it's safe to say I won't be. read more
