I was craving some healthy food for lunch today and came across this restaurant on Yelp. This restaurant gives me the Chipotle meets Souplanation vibes lol. You stand in line, order your food from the menu, watch them make your food, and pay. FYI: they charge by weight. They have a variety of salads, wraps, sandwiches, juices, smoothies, and bowls. I tried the Asian Chicken Salad (pretty delicious) and the South of the Border Wrap with Buffalo Chicken and Chipotle Ranch. Although the Asian Chicken Salad was pretty good, it was definitely not worth the price $12. Same goes for the wrap, it was a $10 wrap that I can make (possibly better) at home. The wrap was dry and lacked the taste. It definitely wasn't "healthy" either since there were onion rings, tortilla chips, and dressing in the wrap. This place makes a nice lunch run for a salad, but definitely not somewhere where you'll get that bang for the buck. read more

This place is hands down my new favorite joint! everything is so fresh. staff is extremely friendly, quick and attentive. you could literally create your own fresh healthy meal, juice or shake! Oh and they have soooo many dressings that they allow you to sample!! So far I've only had the apples walnut salad with the mango lime dressing,juice #17 and a dainty yogurt bowl, literally wanted to lick the container! oh and their chairs are so comfy!!! Both were fantastic. The servers were so kind and make the salad in front of you like a Chipotle or something like that. Everything looks so fresh and vibrant. The flavors are wonderful. Food is good but service can be slow. I waited for about 10 minutes to pickup my phone order because the customer in front of me was picking up a big order that wasn't ready. There were plenty of staff members who could've helped me as my order was sitting on the table but no one offered. Instead as new customers walked in, they were being helped. What's the point of calling in your order ahead of time if I have to wait just as long as new customers placing their orders? Let me just say ... I'm not the type of guy to get salads and wraps. In fact, I make it a point to avoid places that specialize in them. I'm the kind of guy where if the food isn't meat heavy and doesn't sit heavy in my stomach, I'm usually not satisfied. My sister, however, would always harp about the place constantly. Well, one fateful day I decided I needed to start eating healthier and so I finally decided to give Chop'd a chance. I ordered the South of the Border salad with cilantro chipotle dressing (yes, I know many of you would say it's still not healthy enough, but if you knew what I ate on a daily basis you wouldn't be saying that anymore), and it was DELICIOUS. I polished off that salad so quick! And it was quite filling with good portions. You can tell they were using fresh vegetables for sure, and the chicken was well seasoned ... and the dressing really tied everything together perfectly. It's just salad, wraps, and healthy drinks. I think the concept is great, but it isn't anything new...you have make your own pizza, BLAZE and Pieology...make your own sandwich...make/ create your own yogurt, etc. now make your own salad...but the problem is ...the ingredients are all the same...nothing really stands out. I mean what is so special about a salad you create....i felt like it was just a hipper version of souplatation hidden away with a fancy name and cooler decorations. The price really didn't help either. I got a salad and a wrap which came out to ~$20. kinda expensive...but the cost of everything is going up so i guess i have to accept that. Well, after finding out about this place, i was kinda happy to have found a new restauarant i can visit frequently, but I haven't been back since i visited more than a month ago...and i probably won't. I'm giving them 5 stars because I think they are perfect in what they do: salads and wraps. They have a menu of predesigned salads and wraps but the real draw is custom making your own. They have every ingredient I could think of. They'll give you as much as you want, and at the end the price is determined by the ounce (like some frozen yogurt shops). You pay .49¢ per ounce. So, for example, I had them make me a wrap with a mix of lettuces, buffalo chicken, croutons, pepperoncinis, hummus spread, alfafa, pepper, and caesar dressing. It was packed weighing in at .88 lb. With chips the total was $9.34. I was really satisfied. What a great idea for those of us who like epic salads and wraps. read more

Omg after hearing about this place from all my friends I had to try. Got the spinach tortilla chicken wrap and it was so goood! I never even knew spinach tortillas even existed. The employee was new though and he didn't really even know what I wanted at first & tried to tell me that they didn't have it, then another worker came in and said that they did. I've tried this place twice now in the last month or so. I've had their acai bowl and south of the border salad. Their cilantro dressing is weird tasting and the salad is very mediocre. I tried the salad another day hoping it would be better and was let down, again. I tried it the second time with ranch dressing and it's definitely just regular cheap store bought ranch AND they charge you .50 for extra, when they don't give you enough for the entire salad to begin with (at least when it's to go). Also, for just the salad & acai bowl it was about $27! I should've gotten much better food for that price. I was happy to have discovered a healthier option close to work but that was short lived. Their staff, however, are really nice and their acai bowl was good. Don't waste your time going here in general though. Okay, so I liked chop'd a lot and I even recommended people. Their employee love me I was very happy when I went inside very positive energy. I work around the area so I ate there a lot ; will not anymore,used to. my manager asked me what's good around here so I suggested chops so I went there and I bought wraps for us. My manager only had half the wrap and he said "Cristal I don't like." Still i ate mine the whole thing and then after an hour and half I started vomiting, I had the Hives and diarrhea. Called chop'd the next morning told them my situation and they told me they will contact the owner and he will get back to me. I called about 3 times and they never did. I even told them I had to go to to the emergency room and I was l bill because of it and they still have not got back to me. Even their coworkers there were telling me yeah people are getting sick here but they're not doing anything about it. I'm sorry to say but stop eating here!
