These guys (and gals) are very good at what they do. They always clean me up and make my cut look like it took an hour to blend. I have my favorite barbers but in all honesty everyone of them can give you a great cut. For $15 you can't beat the service and atmosphere! I always tip $5 so it's a great cut with confident and easy going barbers for only $20 bucks! Cheaper for kiddos. Also very kid friendly environment. One incident I was getting lined up and the song playing in the shop had just a few curse words and a mother and her two middle school age kids walked in for their time slot and the barber cutting my hair (John) motioned for the other barber to change the station because of the kids. Chops Barbershop, the best ones to do outta the I.E. From their intriguing vintage atmosphere to their catering barbers. They assist all ages, and specialize in what seems like all hair styles as well. Customer service couldn't be better. Personally I highly recommend to hit up my boy Joe aka @cujo_kutz who my brothers and myself been going to for over a year now. Who's patience and detail to his skills has us coming back for more cuts everytime. We don't let anyone else cut our hairs, but that doesn't mean that everyone else can't get down on the clipper's. My 1 1/2 year old son got his hair cut here and the girl did a really good job! We came as walk ins and her appt came in right after us, but she didn't rush my son's hair and took the time to make sure it was well done. My kid didn't freak out in the chair or anything but the girl was still super patient with him as he looked around or popped his head around. Cut looks good. read more

The best place around to get a fresh cut. Ive been coming here for 6 months and I've never had a bad experience. I used to go to 2% but this place is even better and less expensive, plus you don't have to deal with the mall crowd if you know what I mean. Lorena usually cuts my hair and she does a great job every time. She's been cutting hair for a long time, so I trust her judgement and let her cut it the way she thinks is best. She really hooked it up for my wedding so I was looking extra fresh. She's really good a doing tapers and hard parts, which is how I like it. Though I usually go with Lorena, Aaron and Julie have also done great jobs cutting my hair as well. You can't go wrong with any of the employees from what I have noticed. read more

I always come here to get my sons cut. Usually by Richard, Julie or Cynthia but today it was a last minute call which they had Tracy available(now I know why).I asked her to cut my sons hair bald shaved on the side with a 6 on the top. He has really thick hair so I always have them cut it bald on the sides. So as I look to see as Tracy is about done I kindly asked her if she could cut it bald on the sides (which I asked beforehand) which seemed to irritate her a bit causing a bit of an attitude. It kind of bugged me. After she was done she proceeds to charge me $25 which I understood with the price increase but my son is only 10 which she did not even ask as kids cuts are $21 (10 and under). Don't know why I still tipped her $3 for a poor job. I've always liked this place and barbers like Cythnia/Richard make it worth the comeback. They need to get barbers who take pride and know how to take care of their customers as this left a bad taste for me. I'd stuck to taking my 2 year old son to those kiddie hair salons in hopes that he might be distracted by the cool cars for chairs, and mini TV screens, enough to let the nice lady do her job. Well, 4 out of the 4 times I took him to these kiddie salons this did NOT work. He would still know exactly what was going on, and would give the ladies a hard time. Also, I hate to admit, these ladies would give up on him fairly easily and he'd end up with choppy cut. So for his latest haircut I thought, OK, he's a little older, let's take him to a big boy barbershop and see how he does. I was intent on taking him to 2% barbershop in Rancho, but the barber I wanted didn't have an opening the ENTIRE weekend! Crazy huh? So I read several reviews and decided to go with Chops. I called and made an appointment with Cynthia, who I'd read great things about, and fortunately, she was available the next day, which worked perfectly for me. The place itself was impressive. Total classic barbershop feel! The waiting area had vintage couches and a huge TV screen for everyone to enjoy. I checked in with the friendly receptionist and Cynthia came to get us shortly there after. The haircut ... AMAZING! The simple fact that Cynthia was able so use the clippers on my son is Gold-Medal worthy! No joke! It took a while to get my son to settle down. I had to sit down and hold him down, forcefully, for like 5 minutes before he realized the clippers weren't going to hurt him. I LOVED the fact that Cynthia took charge and went for it. She spoke Spanish, which helped, A LOT, considering that is my son's primary language right now. I think it also helped that she has children of her own, so she's experienced with these hyper-active toddlers. Overall, I was VERY happy that my son finally had a great cut, and will definitely be returning! read more

I did not like that I walked in and there was 8 people chilling, not clients, who were not cutting hair. The wait was worth it though, so much so that she is cutting the hair of myself, my son, and groomsmen for my wedding.
