Great vermicelli noodles with flavorful pork and super crispy shrimp! And I'll always enjoy a Thai tea

We got the large beef pho and a pork Bahn Mi. $28. First the good. The bun on the Bahn Mi was perfect. It would be awesome if every place had buns as good as this. The rest of the Bahn Mi tasted different from all of the other places (20+ different places in the past 8 years) that I've been to - and not in a good way. The best way I can describe the meat taste - is as if it was a bad Philly Cheese steak. The beef pho was the worst tasting pho we've ever had. Tonight as I write this review I'm hoping none of us gets sick. Maybe this was just a bad night? But, if not, I hope this place strives to make some serious improvements. read more

Zero starts for this place!!! Came here on a Saturday night at 8:30 PM. The neon open sign was on and their posted hours were "open until 9 PM." We were turned away by the staff at 8:30. We saw other clients walk in and be served. Our visit on 12/31/2025 started alright. The first thing we noticed was the prices on the menu; they were different than what was advertised on their website. The price on the menu was on average $3 to $7 higher. Pho was decent and the server got us extra basil and jalapeño request. Pork Bun Mi was only average. Dishonest Service: First off, we mentioned that we were sharing pho but then had to ask for an extra bowl again when the soup arrived. Second, my ice coffee drink arrived when I was almost done with our meals. It came so late, we thought the server has forgotten about the order Third, my son ordered hot tea. The menu showed $3. We were charged $4. I notified the server about the incorrect charge on our bill, she at first did not want to admit the error but admitted her mistake only after I showed her the price on the menu. She did not offer an apology. She made the correction to the price for the tea in the end. However, she slapped on a $1.13 "INCONVENIENCE FEE" for correction her own dishonest charges to my bill. WOW, the audacity to think that she can treat her customers with her unethical business sense. Be worn, check your receipts at this place if you choose to dine there. We usually tipped well, however with her, she did not receive any. We were not going to give her peace in mistreating us and crookedness. read more

Darn good Banh Mi. I had the pork, which was tender and flavorful. The veg were fresh and crispy with a predominate piece of cilantro, which I love but can be removed if not your thing. The bread was fresh, even for an end of day order. The sandwich is about twice as long as typical Banh Mi, which is what justifies the higher than usual price. It's a quality sandwich... only thing is I didn't know you had to request pate be added as opposed to coming with it, but considering the local palette may not like it, it's understandable. What a total disappointment. I ordered the fried egg rolls and the rice with grilled pork. I've gotten this same order at many Vietnamese restaurants and this was the only time it wasn't excellent. But the grilled pork was inedible. The egg rolls were obviously cooked in old oil for too long. They were dried out and greasy. The grilled pork looked and tasted like it was heated in a microwave or a crock pot. No grill marks. No grilled flavor. Mediocre cafeteria food at best. I had lunch here on Monday as expected it was not super busy. The waitress whom I forgot to get her name was very friendly. The rice to meat ratio was a bit disproportional with that being said it was very good. It came out piping hot that I almost burnt my tongue on first bite and the meat was very well seasoned. The typical strip-mall exterior leads into a rather austere dining room. We ordered two of the "P3", which comes with "sliced eye round steak and well done brisket". Portion sizes are great, and the flavor of the pho broth was really good. However, the sliced eye round was so rare that there were pools of blood in the tray. My wife was afraid to eat it. We also had an order of egg rolls, which were okay, but really just tasted like generic fried food. All said, the food wasn't bad. It probably won't be our new go-to for pho, but it's just a little more than a mile away and the prices are decent, so I won't say that we'll never be back. read more

Pho is good but I asked for my meat on the side and they didn't bring it that way. Egg rolls were good, very crunchy. I got the Vietnamese coffee but it just came in a cup instead of a drip. This is a very laid back restaurant where one should appreciate the food and not the ambiance. Casual, young, relaxed waitstaff multi-tasking at reception, bussing, serving, etc. but that's OK. Dinnerware - oriental plastic spoons and plastic chopsticks - already in holders at the tables for your use. Silverware - forks and knives - in paper napkins... and that was OK to us, as well. Folks were friendly and available. My wife and I were there for the food. We shared orders of fresh roll and fried spring roll. The fresh roll was simple... sticky rice, a couple small shrimp, and a few crispy veg... carrot or maybe celery etc. It was ok.. The fried spring roll was also ok.. My wife ate them, mostly ... I'd have liked soy sauce on my portion but used the available sauces on the table... I ordered the Pho with eye of round, brisket, tendon and tripe - got the large size. It was a LARGE portion! The broth was better than average (I've had more concentrated/flavorful elsewhere but it was still good). The meat bits were there but not in abundance. Lots of rice noodles in the bowl. On the side, a good portion of bean sprouts, fresh Thai basil leave, and one slice of jalapeño to add as you might. I would have liked some soy sauce to add.. The chili oil, hoisin sauce, and sriracha sauces were available on the table. My wife ordered R2 - Rice with grilled chicken. That was pretty much it. Cooked rice (jasmine perhaps) and some grilled chicken chunks on the side with some fresh vegetables. She was given a bowl of fish sauce on the side (which I used in my Pho for lack of soy sauce). The food was abundant and she said it was... ok... Next time, she would order the Pho. So, If you're hungry for reasonably-priced Pho food for your tummy, Chopsticks Pho may fit the bill. read more

The lady who stated she was the manager was rude and didn't care about my request that the food was not acceptable. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but here... So disappointed! Had been waiting forever to try it, and when we finally did talk about underwhelming and overpriced. I've never had Pho, and I'm guessing I still haven't as what they served me was just a flavorless bowl full of ordinary angel hair noodles with nothing else. Not even an option for any fun add ons. There were 4 of us, ordering a variety of things, and we all thought it stunk. From the outside, and the price, you would think it was extremely fancy. Inside reminded me of a Chinese take away place, just cleaner and bigger. Wbg has multiple Pho places, so I'd recommend trying somewhere else - or another place in new town. It's a good quick fix when in the mood for pho. The flavor of the beef broth seemed a little bland. Their chicken broth did taste better than the beef broth. Vacationing in Colonial Williamsburg and stopped by for lunch. Don't let the store front discourage you from dining here. It's located nearby a strip shopping area with parking. The place looks a bit rundown and as soon as you walked in, you'll notice there was some tables and chairs inside. It's nothing fancy. We were greeted, took our seats and placed our orders. I had the vermicelli noodles and pork, spring roll and grilled shrimps. The food came out fairly quick considering it was lunch time and the place was busy. My grilled shrimps and spring roll was very tasty. The spring rolls were crispy. The grilled pork was okay. I wished the seasoning was bbq rather than lemongrass but overall, it was a good meal. Came here while vacationing in the Williamsburg area. It's located in a mini strip mall area with other businesses so parking wasn't a problem. We came here for lunch instead of eating at Colonial Williamsburg. The food did not disappoint at all. I ordered the grilled beef vermicelli noodles with egg rolls. The Mrs. had the grill pork vermicelli noodles which she mentioned the dish was tasty. Kids had grilled pork chop with rice. The ingredients was spot on as it was plenty of vegetables and thick rice noodles. The portion size was very good not like some restaurants that tend to be cheap with portions. I was itching for some Vietnamese food and with the lack of Vietnamese ingredients available in the area, couldn't make my own. So, what else would I do but follow the reviews of my fellow yelpers to find the best available takeout option? I called ahead to order and the person over the phone was very friendly. We ordered 1 pho and 1 vermicelli dish. 15 minutes before it would be ready, which gave me enough time to get there. Arrived, and the food was waiting for me... Awesome! The man working there was very friendly and cheery. I appreciated being able to walk in, swiftly get my food, and walk out. The food was still nice and hot when I got home, and smelled delicious the whole way. They didnt skimp on portions either, the box was quite full of food. The pho had good flavor, and the vermicelli hit the spot with a nice serving of Veggies. I wish it came with more than one spring roll though! It's not very much to look at, but the food was tasty. Our host/waiter scowled at us as he tossed the menus down and walked away. (?bad day?). Fresh draft beer. Sauces on table could have been cleaner (had to poke the capless sauce bottle nozzle with a chopstick to loosen and remove the dried gunk. There were loose reusable chopsticks and soup spoons in an open container on the table, which wasn't too inviting (had to go get the wrapped chopsticks for cleanliness). But Pho was good..! I came in on a quiet afternoon and was glad this was open at the time. 2/3pm can be pretty slow. Staff was efficient and swift. The lava shrimp appetizer cam out just a minute before my entree. It was $10 but I thought it was a good deal since there were a little more than 10 crunchy shrimp covered in spicy mayo. It would be a great dish to share with multiple people. It's barely spicy, a little hoisin and srirarcha drizzled on top helped a lot. The chicken pho I ordered had excellent broth. I was glad they let me do chicken vegetable .The large is a generous helping with lots of noodles. I think my noodles were left a bit long in the kitchen before hitting soup, since they stuck together at the bottom pretty bad, then only broke apart by chopstick stabbing. Unassuming Vietnamese restaurant in a rather nice suburban neighborhood located in a small shopping plaza. The ramen here is pretty good; fragrant broth, good portions, fresh veggies. Their homemade chili oil is very good; well toasted pepper flakes and some garlic. The service is ok but then again I don't care much about " service". It appears that they add dried onions to the broth which gives it a super oniony taste and over salts the broth. The portion size is good, I went with the small bowl and it was plenty of noodle and chicken in the soup. Prices were reasonable and my order came out quickly.
