For the entire five-minute call, she seemed far less interested in understanding my situation than in convincing me that no immigration attorney, Mr. Lim included, would be of any real use to me. At first I just thought she was rude and unprofessional. On reflection, the exchange left me with the impression that the office may not be well-versed in this kind of immigration matter--she didn't seem to grasp what I was trying to describe.
