Too much peanuts, not sweet enough - Tom Yum was salty - Thai iced tea was weak and tasted more like a bubble tea. - Love their fresh fruit shakes, but they do need the syrup that comes with them. They're on the pricey side though. Lychee shake is the best! Non-food things that I love about them: free WiFi and a strong AC; bathrooms are clean with soap and toilet paper; they have their own generator so during brown outs (power outages), they're still open and running. They have stellar service with a smile: holding doors open for you, pulling out chairs for the women, everyone greeting you as you enter and thanking you as you exit. This time I wanted to make a stop there. I believe Chowking is on the West coast but I wish it would spread in America. Do we have endless Chinese takeout spots? Yes... of course! I have more than a few here in my city that are favs. Chowking... can probably be compared to Panda Express here in America. Having steamed buns elevates it to another level in my opinion.
