To my surprise he was able to come the next morning! I was filled with relief knowing I only had to make it one night through the unbearable heat. Later that night, however, the air seemed to be working again! Huzzah! I texted Justin that I no longer needed him. Upon waking at 5am, however, I realized the A/C had given me false hope and was broken once again. Later that morning I called Justin hoping he'd still be free. Not only was he free, but he was at my house within hours. Within 30 seconds of arriving Justin knew exactly what the issue was. He walked me through the steps I could take to prevent it from happening again and gave me tips on how to not get scammed by other contractors. I had also been having issues with my dishwasher which he kindly took a look at. A true jack of all trades! After an agreed price for an eight hour we set a date for 8 AM through 4 PM. 8 AM comes and goes. 9 AM come and goes. 10 AM comes and goes and I finally text him. One half an hour later at 10:30 he text that he's sorry he forgot that he has a funeral and he is booked for the rest of the week is but he's going to TRY to schedule me for the next week. (This is already 2 weeks from our first meeting!) I understood and gave him and his family my condolences along with my thoughts and prayers. He said thank you and then the week passes by. So I send him a text the following Monday and I have yet to hear from him. Not only he was a no call no show, I cleared out the room he is to be working. For over 3 weeks I have my things stacked. A no call no show TWICE! Absolutely no professional work ethic AND you're new starting out a business on your own. I'm sure you wouldn't want your family treated like that, just to be left hanging like that. Everybody....don't get fooled like I did!!

On the day before Thanksgiving, Conrad arrived less than one hour from me opening a home warranty claim. He quickly confirmed that my 75 gallon water heater needed to be replaced. We discussed the challenges of my installation and we agreed that the new one would not be in place until the end of day Monday. This was disappointing but understandable due to the holiday. Also, I was nervous because I was leaving town Friday morning and would not be there for any additional issues (there usually are issues). Conrad pleasantly surprised us when he called on Friday and set up to install it that day. The entire NOLA area experienced low temps in the 50's that weekend and the early install kept my wife from having to choose between bathing in cold water or travelling to impose on relatives. I returned a week later to find the new unit installed EXACTLY as we discussed. WARNING: If you have a home warranty... My only complaint is with the warranty company. I have two contracts with them - one for me and one for my disabled sister. Each home has needed a water heater this year. Regardless of their size (my sister's was a 50 gallon unit), the cost to me was over $500 for each - $75 copay plus $460 for non-covered expenses. I priced the extra parts used for my job at Home Depot and they totaled less than $30 including tax. This is a flat fee imposed by the warranty company. THIS ROBBERY IS NOT CONRAD'S FAULT. Small point: I think he choose the wrong name for his company. Conrad is One Great Plumber!

They were able to fit me into their schedule so that I could have other repairs completed by a different vendor. They showed up prompt and on time as scheduled. They were well-mannered, very professional and courteous. They were quick in troubleshooting the problem, very knowledgeable about what was causing the problem and fixed all my issues expeditiously and even upgraded my existing equipment to make it more user friendly and safer. When it was time for payment they realized they quoted me an older cheaper price. They did not attempt to coerce me into paying the correct price. They even apologized for misquoting me the incorrect price and stuck to the lower pricing that I was quoted and accepted that payment. I also chose to go with A.R.E. once I found out they were not only a woman owned and minority owned business, but they are also a locally owned company that cares about there customers. During these times it is more important than before that we spend our money locally and keep our economy moving forward.
