Our old water heater bit the dust after being repaired for years. Chris J. and Noah came out early the next morning and gave us estimates for a replacement. After discussing pros and cons, my husband and I decided to upgrade to a tankless. They came back in a short time with all the paraphernalia needed and spent the next 6 hours removing the old tank from the horror of pipes surrounding it and installing the new tankless. Chris said he would try to have it installed by the end of the day and even called in another team to help the last hour to make it happen. He was great to answer questions, explain how the new system worked, careful not to cause a mess, and the final bill was just what he had quoted. (Did I mention there was a horrible tangle of water and gas pipes in the closet that housed both the water heater and furnace? It now looks 100% better! And I know Chris and Noah spent over an hour in the hot attic to take care of the vent.) He told me their office would file with our gas supplier for a rebate and I've already received an email from Summit that they are processing it. Finally, we noticed our kitchen water pressure was less since the installation and I messaged them (2 weeks later) to see if that was normal. They answered in just a few minutes and said they would be glad to come back out and check - no charge. However, he mentioned that turning water off and back on sometimes caused trash to clog up the filter. I checked and sure enough, that's what it was. I was able to take care of it myself. I appreciate a company that is not only eager to have your business, but keeps their word. They respond quickly to follow up questions. I had issues with my hot water tank over the weekend. I'm pretty handy and usually can get things done myself but this time I was unsuccessful. I called Chris West Plumbing today 08/26/2024 and explained the issues I was having. The young lady who answered the phone took my information and told me that everyone was out on jobs but someone will be in contact with me. She was very nice and polite. I recently had a water line break. City Water and Light determined that the leak was my responsibility so I immediately called Chris West Plumbing. I received a call back the same evening, and a crew was sent out at the earliest available time to make the repair. The entire water line required replacement and had some complications (due to tree roots) so it was an approximately eight hour job in very cold weather. The guys from Chris West were always pleasant and professional. Of course, this was the kind of costly repair that every homeowner dreads. I feel that the rate charged for the job was quite reasonable under the circumstances. They even brought some sand to fill in the areas of the yard that were excavated. We needed our new dishwasher connected, drain connected to a new sink, and a new faucet connected. They were efficient and performed quality work. We had an issue with the bill, however. Chris determined what happened, and immediately corrected the problem. He also took responsibility for the billing error and told us he would review with his associates to ensure the same thing wouldn't happen on subsequent jobs. Very impressive in a world that often blames others. He identified the problem and determined an action plan to prevent similar issues. My daughters pipes burst in the middle of the night. They were out the next night fixing them in the snow. They got it done in no time and she had water that night. They also checked the water heater to make sure she had hot water. They are always so helpful and efficient. We use them for all of our houses. We would recommend them to anybody. Washer connections were leaking behind the wall. They cut into the wall and replaced the old valves with the latest ball valves that will not leak in the future. Nice job. Works great! Our dishwasher flooded our kitchen and water was backed up into our sink on the garbage disposal side. All the local plumbers were booked solid for the foreseeable future including Chris West Plumbing, but they took my name down in case they had an opening. They were at my house the next day, there less than an hour, and had unclogged the sink, fixed the garbage disposal, and had my dishwasher functioning like normal. read more
