My wife suggested we try this place, she'd driven by it every day for years and been curious about going to services one day. Well, we e-mailed the priest to ask about parking, since it didn't look to have much parking at all. Apparently the lot across the street is usable by their parishioners. Most mornings they have a police officer there acting as a crossing guard. They are open-minded, friendly and accepting. They genuinely embrace diversity, of both people and ideas. The worship service is beautiful, the clergy are friendly and energetic, and the actual Church itself is a beautiful "old world" style place that looks like some centuries-old chapel from Europe, complete with stone pillars, stained glass windows ornate wood fixtures and a massive pipe organ. The choir there is practically unearthly in the beauty of their music. I'm quite happy to have found Good Shepherd. I wish I'd known about this place decades ago.

Walked in the door after being out of visiting church for years at recommendation of neighbor…read more Apparently they weren't really open, was greeted by a man in a red shirt and ushered out the door. I was treated like a criminal for simply trying to visit a church. I have experience as a Bible theology major for almost 2 years and now I am going to school in the medical field. Maybe because I was wearing sneakers with holes and my work shirt because I was changing the oil in my motorcycle they thought I wasn't good looking enough who knows maybe if I was in my scrubs or my suit I would have been greeted and treated differently. This is why my heart broke so badly and I just couldn't pursue being a pastor anymore. This church like all the others seems filled with nothing but social club wana be fake people who really are not interested in the condition of their own heart just want to look a certain way and others to view them a certain way. I want no part in trying to convince someone why they should change so I went to the medical field where people actually want help. This church just there are no words for how disgusting the experience was just walking in the door on the wrong day. So disappointing.

It was on a weekday. The place was quiet and the priest seemed nice. The temple part is quite small compared to the temple in Louisville. But, there is ample parking. We have also been to the cultural center for a friend's wedding once and another time for the Tamil New Year celebration. It's a fairly large hall that can accommodate a few hundred people.
