Access is proof that it's not about how the church looks from the outside or how big it is, but…read morerather the quality of the messages and the people working within. This ain't no fancy looking church. In fact, you wouldn't know it's a church at all if it didn't have big letters out front that say "Access Church". It's in a strip mall, and one that's not necessarily nice or super clean overall. But Access brings up the average. Inside, it's more spacious than you'd expect. There's a nice greeting area, and they even serve free Concord coffee every Sunday (a great local shop)! The volunteers always have huge smiles on their faces and make you feel welcome without it being overwhelming. They give you a program before the service starts, along with a pen so that you can take notes if you want or in case you forgot something to write with. The worship style is much more modern, a little bit concert-like but in a good way. And they still sing a lot of the better known worship songs which I appreciate. The main pastors are so genuine and usually bring a good message. They don't over complicate things but hit you right where you need at times. It took me a couple years to find a church in Lakeland that I truly felt comfortable in, but from the moment I attended Access it captured me with the intentionality. After my first visit I chatted with some workers and they even gave me a first time gift. Access has weekends where you can volunteer at local nonprofits and help out. They hold small groups every week and baptisms once a month. Their Sunday services usually last around an hour, just enough but not too long. It's a great place to come and get your Jesus fill!

They lied to me, I have no problem if you can't help, that's understandable, but just lie to me have me to go online and fill out paper work and never hear from them again, Maybe it's my skin color idk, but I see the don't practice what they preach!!! When we moved to Florida about three years ago, we were hesitant about finding a new church, simply due to past experiences. On a whim, we tried FAM Church. And we've been here ever since. The people of the church truly make you feel like a part of their family. They know no strangers! But they're not over bearing at all. Trust me; I'm pretty darn introverted; if it was too much, I never would've gone back. But they were just the right kind of friendly and just the right kind of welcoming. And, most importantly, they've got the right kind of love for Jesus! Pastor Brian teaches sermons that are deep and moving; I have no shame in admitting that I'm often moved to tears here and there. He teaches real messages as applied to real life. He's honest and fun and relatable. The kids church is amazing! The kids pastor has a real passion for teaching the Littles about Jesus! So many fun things for the kids! They do pizza parties, games, prizes, snacks, themed days, plays, some awesomely rowdy worship, and even comicon-ish days! For nerds such as us, that's pretty cool. Also, the check in process is safe and secure so no worries there! I feel I should also mention that church is genuinely fired up about making a difference in the community! From a weekly food distribution (groceries distributed to around 200+ families every single week), to free cooked breakfast meals and dinner meals on some weekends, to going out and helping neighbors with yard work, etc. and so so much more, but I fear my review is becoming too long and I'm going to lose you, dear reader. In short, if you're looking for a church, give FAM a try! All walks of life, all backgrounds, all types of people. Show up in your jeans and a tshirt, if want! Most of us do! We don't care! Just come! You won't know until you try!

While most attendees seem to me to be in the 50+ range, there were a fair amount of younger people in the mix. Pastor Tim does a fine job of presenting the sermon in an engaging manner. The music is worship band style with a few hymns thrown in along the way. I always enjoy it when I can be at Grace Church on a Sunday. I'll bet you will too.

However, several of us…read morenoticed how they authorized littering downtown Lakeland, placing unsolicited papers under windshields advertising a "march" in Lakeland, but not mentioned on their social media. There's no clear purpose or definition of "march" leading us to believe they are aggressive with teaching "marching" in a society overwhelmed by protest marches and aggressiveness. There is no march route, suggesting it may disrupt other downtown functions. Touching cars can be construed as vandalism. Placing it in windows of the disabled who can't reach it is thoughtless. Strewn all over the streets on Saturday Sept 7 isn't the lasting impression I'd want on my church. Every moment of every day we show the world who we are. This reflection of their church (anonymity, trash, incomplete message) is not something I'd want for my family. Better, more clear, complete communication and methods that don't stress or litter our community and teach "kindness" might. This is my personal experience with this ministry. I'd steer clear.
