I looked at their website and they seem to be trying to keep up with the times, which is probably a good idea during these times for religions. However I could not help appreciating their message that they have on line, and it resonated a little with me. What do you think? See below. Some hear the word "church" and think of beautiful cathedrals, cozy chapels or even hard wooden pews.  Churches can exist without stained-glass windows, pews, and steeples, but they cannot exist without people.  At One City Church when we think of the word "church," we think foremost about people - people just like you.  No wonder the Bible says Jesus loved the church and even gave his life for her.  Jesus loves people!  Two things will last forever; God's Word and people.  When you make an investment in people you are making an investment in eternity.  At OCC we believe in people.  We desire to grow people - not buildings or denominational programs.  Our greatest asset and our greatest investment is people. The church of God is not about a building or an organization, the church of God is made up of people who have put their faith in Jesus. All by our nature we are imperfect, we have faults and we make mistakes that make us completely dependent on the grace of a God who is Perfect and Holy. We are people who have found unconditional, transforming love in God and who are growing daily to live according to his will. We understand that life is a journey that is full of surprises, ups and downs, good and not so good experiences. We have all experienced joys, triumphs, disappointments, and pain. There is a true value of family and friendship here and everyone is just truly genuine and are good people. I know religion is a touchy subject so I won't get into it but this place really makes me feel the Lord's presence. Besides Sunday mass and confession I love every Thursday when they have a special prayer group. The band that plays is glorious, such angelic voices and talented with numerous instruments. It is truly a place filled with love. Regardless of whatever denomination you are, everyone is welcome for prayer. I even brought my hamster here when they were giving animal blessings. This place is just wonderful and I really enjoy coming here 2 to 3 times a week.

I came across Wayside in an internet search and we joined an 11oclock worship service about 6 months ago. After our first Sunday service, we stopped our search and immediately felt this was the place God lead us to be in our time in Miami. Wayside is a fairly large church with a two-story mezzanine and a congregation of all ages. On our first visit, pastor David, and his wife, Kelly personally greeted us as they recognized new faces and made it a point to welcome us. They were eager to introduce us to the leaders of a Sunday-school group for young adults, which has cultivated relationships we intend to always keep. The messages we receive each week are biblical, relatable, and full of Godly wisdom in which we have been able to apply to our lives in the past few months. We feel that God is working in a multitude of ways through Wayside and are blessed to be a part of it. We would suggest and invite anyone to visit Wayside and see the great things that are happening here.

Celebrate Recovery for those who have issues to deal with. Middle School and High School groups and many more. Youth meet Friday evening for worship and small groups as well as fun activities. Worship is Saturday at 6pm and Sundays at 9am, 10:45am and 12:30pm. Palmetto Bay not convenient! We have other campuses as well for you to worship. For the kids from babies through 5th grade they have classes in a secure area. You cannot enter without a badge and must have the badge to pick your child up. They are taught at their age level. For those with infants less than 3 months there is a baby room at the back of the worship center where you can sit with your baby and still enjoy the service and know your infant will not be distracting others. Finally, currently only the Palmetto Bay campus has deaf ministry and an interpreted service. The service is at 10:45am. Deaf are seated on the right at the front. First of all it's tucked away from the bustle of South Miami in a quiet residential street. The church lot itself is large and shares space with their elementary school and church social hall. The cathedral itself is beautiful on the inside with a large inner room and great acoustics. Lighting is dim enough where it's great for quiet contemplation , and there's a skylight over the priest's podium giving it a pretty spiritual symbology. Their crucifix is original in that Christ has his arms open towards the people. In general, there's a calm vibe to this place and certainly one of the more beautiful Catholic churches I've been too!
