The combination of her personal gifts, professional training, skills, and experience make her an excellent person with whom to work: she is personable, knowledgeable, articulate, and flexible with exercises/treatments as needed. She really listens to clients (more and more a rarity), is attentive to what's going on with one's body during exercises (even when you don't know it) and points out needed improvements in form, placement, etc. One day she noticed that one of my legs looked a little longer than the other when doing an exercise and called me over to do some readjustment movements, something I can do on my own as well. It really helped. The clinic is run efficiently with the engaging and ever efficient Maggie at its helm. It may sound strange to say, but I am sorry when a course of treatment ends! One more thing to say: If you are looking for the big high tech clinics with lots of machines and equipment, this may not be the right place for you. What is of benefit is that every exercise Sylvia taught me in our sessions can easily be reproduced at home with aids that can be acquired from Target or Walmart. Highest accolades to Sylvia and Maggie!

From the time you arrive to the time you leave, you know you are in very good hands. Once you arrive, you do not have to wait very long for your therapist to come get you. He/she will help you every step of the way and make you feel very comfortable. The first time I went, I was very nervous because I know my limitations and was afraid they would push me too far. That was not the case at all. They respect what you are telling them and they make extra effort to make sure you are not in danger of harming yourself further by overexerting your limitations. They have aquatic therapy which is what I am currently using. The group that is usually there is small so you really get a lot of personal attention and support. I have a very good feeling that they are going to help me get to where I need to be! I can already tell that I have extra energy. I am excited about the future because they really give me hope!

Their specialized rehabilitation teaches the patient how to live life from a wheelchair. As terrible and as sad as an injury like this is, no one was in there moping. The positive energy that fills this hospital is amazing. It's truly incredible to see what a person can do with the right information. This rehabilitation center provides the patient with information that, while not hard, may have never been utilized. I give this place five stars because the staff, every one of them were sincere, positive, and accommodating. I have one exception. A doctor who seems to have fallen into a rut of repetition, unwilling to personalize his specific and unique authority. Dr. Lance Bruce. When questioned about a credible, however unique (to the patient) condition, he blew it off and was rather rude. I am not going to get into specifics, but my family has health care experience so we weren't just talking out of our respective you know whats. But since there is such minimal contact with this doctor, even if you are his patient, and since the real support comes from everyone else here, I still give this place an A+ for making such a terrible situation for someone into a manageable lifestyle. Family is also welcome at all times. Each patient has a weekly meeting about their progress in which their doctor, physical therapist, nurse, social worker, and family are in attendance.

Unlike many large Senior Living facilities, Mayberry has individual brick homes with 11 bedrooms in each. Like "The Golden Girls," there is a full kitchen, living area and a laundry room in the homes. The residents don't have to go far to dine - just right down the hall (all meals are cooked on site) and there are activities scheduled in the beautifully decorated main living rooms for the residents like Bingo and special speakers. Andy knows all the residents by name and treats them well, as if he was their son. We visited a few ladies, and they were so happy to see him! That tells me a lot about this place. Andy also treats his workers well; some have been with him for decades. I visited five different assisted living sites while looking for a safe place for my father as he began having issues with balance and his memory. Mayberry Gardens is exactly the kind of place I wanted for him: caring workers, beautiful and clean surroundings, healthy meals prepared for him so he could eat and wouldn't keep losing weight. If your parent (or parents) can no longer live alone, check out Mayberry Gardens.

They wrongly discharged my father and were cited for their maladaptive behaviors. This is the type of business this place is known to become. Grace, who is the Assistant Director of Nursing, is an evil person. The workers do not care about your loved ones. It is merely a job to them. They have great turnover ratings. Always short-staffed when it comes to CNAs, sometimes the residents do not get their lunch until almost three hours before dinner. This is so sad. One day, they will get back what they give to these poor people. Most of the nurses and CNAs do not speak English as their first language is an African dialect. So there is always a difficult time trying to relay what is needed. Although they speak another language does not justify their non-caring, lackadaisical work ethic. This place is a hot mess. You have been warned. There is no type of care from Dr. Sharma; he relies on his nurse practitioners to do his job. He lies and pretends to have seen my family member, but never entered his room. This I know for certain because we had a camera in my loved one's room. This is Insurance Fraud. You have been warned! RUN while your family member is still alive.

The overall quality of care appears poor, from the management team down to the nursing staff. When issues are reported, the problems tend ta persist for about a week before the level of service returns to a consistently low standard, Additionally, when my loved one reports an issue, the facility attempts to dismiss or deny it, making it seem as though he doesn't know what he's talking about or that the allegations aren't true.
