I'm not a Catholic practitioner, so I don't have much to go on…read more The church is clean and well maintained. Its ambiance is respectful and pious. I'm guessing that hits the mark perfectly for most people. What I found odd was its layout. From the air the church probably looks like a cross, but inside you're sitting in cross sections viewing the center stage. There are pews set up in each cross section, except on the east side. That section is covered with curtains and other religious paraphernalia; it eventually leads to an exit and offices. It is a little disorienting to look around and see other congregation members on the left/right and/or behind the priest (depending upon which section you're seated in). What I found really unusual was setting in the South section and viewing a sermon from a side view. I'm betting a true Catholic will not have an issue. Ultimately the sermon is what people are there for, so I guess the message will override the layout.
