After having converted our lawn to a garden (thanks, Long Beach Lawn-to-Garden, https://lblawntogarden.com/), we needed our parkway cleared of weeds, weed barrier put down, and mulching. We also needed our irrigation updated to support our trees with slow watering for our clay loam soil (after a previous irrigation company did a bad job). Her price was better than another quote we got, but not suspiciously cheap. At Christine's suggestion, we tried putting stream bubbler heads at each tree. Christine's team was prompt, worked hard, and got everything installed, including finding an underground pipe leak and fixing it (a little trash was found on the site, but not bad). Unfortunately, the stream bubbler heads released water too quickly to spray far enough to soak the root zone and despite their attempts to make adjustments, the water ended up running off into the street rather than soaking in. Christine and I discussed options and she offered to redo the irrigation with drip emitter hose so that the water would come out much slower. Despite needing to redo the work, she was helpful and customer-oriented, and made it right. Now my trees will survive this summer and I can set up my irrigation program knowing that the water will be coming out slow enough to soak in rather than run off. Christine was the obvious choice. While a low-medium cost comparatively, she brought more to the table than anyone else by a long shot. We didn't really know what we wanted when we first started, so we would often ask the question, "what do you think would be best?" The number of times I heard back, "whatever you want" from other contractors drove me absolutely insane. Christine came with ideas, preferences, and expertise.
