Before getting into the details, let's do the TLDR. My husband and I got 2 very different tattoos here from 2 artists with very different styles. Me: small, cursive, girly script on upper back (Alexandra, IG: diflooo). Him: full-out Asian-style tiger tattoo on his calf (Karen, IG: karen_tattoo). Both turned out fantastic! We are at least 20% cooler than we were before. If you're in GTA, you 100% have heard of Chronic Ink if you've even thought of tattoos. Everyone and their mom goes to CI. One, they have been around for awhile, won quite a few awards, and are very reputable. Two, they have a LOT of artists. They basically cover any style you want, from the bold to the minimal, from the black and white to the watercolour. And they're all so talented. Just take a look at their IG portfolios. Damn. Overall, the experience was a positive one. The receptionist who did our consultation, Wendy, was very friendly and patient. The artist that I wanted to do my tattoo was in the Toronto location, but lo and behold, someone in the Markham store does a similar style, and surprise, she's free in an hour! Got my tat basically right then and there, right after getting a bubble tea to calm the nerves. Alexandra was lovely. Through a combination of her skills and the tattoo subject/placement, it was a surprisingly mild experience. Karen, who is a master of her Asian-style brushstroke craft, banged out my husband's calf tattoo in 3 hours at a later appointment. He died. But that's due to a combination of factors including calf sensitivity and broader strokes/shading. But now he's got a work of art on his leg! Worth it. Here's something I'm a bit iffy about. You will NOT get an artist to sketch your idea at your consultation (as I mistakenly believed). This happens at your actual appointment. The "consultation" is just with the receptionist who listens to your idea and recommends an artist. Even with my husband's bigger calf piece, he only had an additional 10 min "consultation" with the actual artist where she showed him a picture of what he wanted. As we're both first-timers, we don't know whether this is the norm. But I will say, BECAUSE we're first-timers, it was a little nerve-wracking. It means you have to basically come in with an exact idea of what you want. That being said, if you've got a clear idea, and a pocketful of cash, Chronic Ink is a good place to get inked. Their skill is undeniable and the results are addicting. Even after 3 hours of skin-scraping, cold sweating pain, my husband was in the car saying, "...I want more tattoos". Annnnd that is how we got hooked. (25/100) - 2019

This is my go-to place for piercings, my cousin got a double helix piercing by Vince. He was very professional throughout the entire process, explaining the procedure thoroughly which helped calmed my cousin down perfectly. Swift and finished in half an hour, granted this is slightly on the pricey side ($50 for each individual piercing on your ear with the needle and $100 for each stud). Prices came down a whopping $300 + $25 for the cleaning adhesive. If you're one to stay safe and 100% clear from infections then chronic ink is the place.

Been going to Chronic Ink ever since they were 4-5 artists working out of Pacific Mall. Finally finished my sleeve yesterday, almost 5 years after it started. Steve (BKS) was excellent as usual and I couldn't be happier with his work. Now onto the next arm.

Great place for tattoos. They have many tattoo artists, many of which were apprentices at the shop before becoming an artist. I feel they are constantly trying to perfect their art and improve their skills am by attending seminars and learning from their mentors. They are really the biggest name in the GTA for tattoos, and many of their artists have won many awards. Very clean and organized work spaces. Everyone is very chill and it's a great and welcoming atmosphere. I recently got an amazing koi tattoo piece from CJ. Check out their work on instagram

I called to get an appointment to get my belly button pierced and got an appointment the same day. Courtney was friendly and professional taking away all the stress of the appointment. She reviewed to see if my anatomy was correct for the piercing and provided a alternative that would be suitable. She did an amazing job and was very accommodating. Would recommend.

1 of my MANY pieces. This one is from Csaba aka Joe

My whole body showcases art work from the AMAZING artists at both Chronic Ink locations. I've followed them from Pacific Mall, Yonge/Eglinton, their new Kennedy relocation and soon to be 250 Eglington East! I'm a die hard fan of the people, the service, the artists and the love they have for all their artwork. If you want a tattoo, sure, check out other shops. If you want ART, then this is the ONLY place to come.

The shop itself is pretty small so there wasn't much privacy. The piercing was done right next to a girl getting a tattoo and shoppers were able to walk by and watch my sister get pierced. You can't really complain because the shops at Pacific Mall are made of glass walls. The procedure itself was pretty standard. She chose her jewellery, got marked and then got pierced. Everything was very clean and sterile, so no complaints! We were then instructed on how to clean the piercing. The whole process took less than 15 minutes and was $60.

GRAPHIC WARNING!!!…read more First things first, would have given them 0 stars if I could. Also writing this review like a month after it happened so it's not just an angry review based on emotions plus I also have 6 other ear piercing done at different places and never had an infection before. So I went to get my piercing done on Nov 24 (Sunday) and it was my first time at Warrior Inks. I went to get my second helix and conch pierced and I was done by the lady. Everything went fine at first. (So I followed the aftercare instruction from the APP website instead of the aftercare given since it said to clean with alcohol but on the APP website it says to not use any alcohol, and I continued this during from the time of piercing and continuing now still.) The first 2 days after were completely fine. No redness, swelling, pain, heat or pus coming from either piercing sites. But the 3rd day after my conch swelled up and was a little warm and slightly red but it didn't really hurt nor was there pus coming from it, so I though it was just delayed swelling from the piercing and didn't think much about it. On the 4th day after, my conch piercing continued to swell up, was even more red, slightly more pain and still only slightly warm, no pus, bit of blood, but the swelling was almost the size of the whole post (the picture attached doesn't show much room left but after cleaning off the blood there was still little bit of room left). On the 5th day after (Friday), my ear was really not looking good. Swelling increased to the whole post, much more red, painful and heat but no blood and still no pus. So I went back to the Warrior Ink thinking they might need to change the post and possibly there's a concern for infection but when I went, during their opening hours and waited like 20-30 mins, the store was closed. So I went to another piercing shop to have it looked at and the piercer said that the post was WAY TO SHORT and that it SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN USED FOR THIS CONCH PIERCING and it HAD to come out and he would not be able to put another post in because my ear was so swollen/angry. He eventually had to SNAP IT OFF because he couldn't remove it by unscrewing it and it hurt like HELL, and I have a pretty decently high pain tolerance. I asked the piercer if I should go to the doctor to get it check out because I was worried it could be infected but he said it should have been find since the post was out the pressure should be relieved and it should be fine. Though after cleaning it that night I noticed pus starting to leak out of the site where the conch piercing was removed So the next day (Saturday) I went to the doctor the first thing in the morning and he said it was DEFINITELY infected and gave me antibiotic and antibiotic ointment. (The picture attached is how angry my ear looked even after like a dose or two of antibiotics). On Sunday morning my ear started to look slightly better. Swelling reduced a bit, slightly less red and less pain, about the same amount of heat, no blood but still leaking pus. Though at about evening time I noticed that my ear had swelled up a lot more and it started to really CURL to the point where the top of the ear almost met the lobe! Had to go the the ER to get it check out (which just so happened to be the day it had freezing rain so it was a long drive there). The ER doctor ended up putting me on 2 different antibiotics and 2 painkillers. After a few days of being on antibiotics and painkillers my ear finally started looking almost like how my ear normally looks but the swelling, redness, and heat continued for almost the whole 10 day course of antibiotics. Pus stopped leaking after like 3-4 days on antibiotics. Very lucky that there was no abscess that would require draining. Overall HIGH DO NOT RECOMMEND (at least from a piercing stand-point). Hopefully someone finds this review helpful and would reconsider before coming to this store.

I wanted to connect and expand my tattoos to be more in balance and even. Effectively, I was looking for half/quarter sleeves. Christine looked at my tattoos and then gave me her vision and plan. I loved her ideas and we went forward with some time in the chair. Tattoos can be very painful, but Christine has a soft touch with a machine that effectively stabs you to put in ink. The atmosphere is so relaxed and private. Since the half/quarter sleeves, I've been back twice more to have my children's names tattooed across my chest. The most recent being this past Wednesday and my first time in her new shop. The new location is amazing, relaxing and has a such a cool vibe. We are now working on putting together a back piece. I don't usually ever give reviews, but her expertise, talent, and demeanor are what tattooing should be about. I highly recommend the experience and Christine as a professional laid back artist. Because that is what she is, she's a talented artist that uses the human body as her canvas.

We went for my daughter's ear piercing. We were helped by Jai (The Piercing Goddess!). Jai was very competent, sympathetic, and supportive. We didn't get our piercer's name but he was a white guy, and the piercings were done improperly and poorly. We came back half an hour ago, and the owner was understanding and really quick to give us a refund and apology. Our septum piercing experience: 1. My friend asked whether he'll pierce low or high and he responded with that it's just a septum piercing it doesn't matter about placement 2. He did not explain the procedure to us beforehand 3. He didn't mark the placement 4. He didn't ask if we thought this was a good placement before piercing 5. He actually pierced me TWICE because he messed up the first time 6. When we voiced our concerns about the piercing being low, he said our septum looks low due to the large jewellery and us having small noses (trusting our piercer and not knowing better, we believed him, only for several people to say our piercings were not done right)

I had sent them the image ahead of time with another image for an idea of shading. We talked to Bahador & made an appointment for the actual tattoo session for both of us. The day of the session we waited a bit as Bahador was with another client & finishing up. We showed him the images again & decided on the size & placement of the tattoo on each of us. Hubby went first & I waited on the couch nearby. It took about 1.5 hours for his session. Then I was next. Hubby had his tattoo placed on his forearm & I had mine placed on my left shoulder. Bahador was professional & nice. I kind of wondered if he was bored because our design was really simple. But we picked him because we really liked his other work that we saw on instagram. I think if I get another tattoo that is more elaborate I would like him to do it. He's very talented. The receptionist Talin (spelling) was really nice also. Her personality is friendly & bubbly. She offered us a drink while we waited. I opted for a simple bottle of water. There is a single washroom on the main floor for customers. There is also a lower level where some other artists work but we didn't go there so I'm not sure what it looks like. The main floor though is very brightly lit. The floors are white tiles. And the walls are white also. The tattoo chairs are black with silver hardware. Everything is very clean. Anyway, we were very satisfied with our matching tattoos. We also think the price was reasonable. I would come back here if I ever get another tattoo. Hubby has been here before & so has my SIL.

DO NOT COME HERE. This place should be shut down…read more I had to temporarily replace my tragus earring with an acrylic spacer for an MRI test (got this done at Adrenaline Tattoo's on Queen Street - amazing place). Decided to get my original earring put back in at 'Depression Ink' since it was a lot closer to home, and since it was a low risk procedure didn't think it would make a huge difference where I went (simply putting in an earring - note: I could not do it on my own since it is small and I cannot see the inside of my ear to screw it in.) I called beforehand and the owner said that it would be no problem. I went in, showed him the original earring, and his apprentice proceeded to take out the spacer (I was fine with this - again, low-risk procedure). Then when it was time to put the earring in the owner said he could not, it was too small - even though it was the earring I have had in my tragus for over ten years. Even though he told me on the phone no problem. Even though he saw the earring when I came into the shop - before starting anything - and said again, no problem. Irritated at this point, I said to put the spacer back in and I would go elsewhere. He said he could not (???). He would need to put a brand new earring in (one with a longer bar so that he could grasp it with his hands and screw it in)...andddd I would have to buy it from him (scammer). I agreed so that I could just get this over with and get out of there, lay down for him to put in the new earring, and suddenly felt horrible pain. I screamed out and asked what he was doing?! HE WAS STICKING A NEEDLE THROUGH MY EAR. Without ANY CONSENT on my part, he attempted to RE-PIERCE my tragus (the hole was already there and perfectly fine - I had it pierced 15 years ago!) to put the earring in (wtf).. He did this 1) Without asking or telling me first and without any consent on my part, 2) Without any proper sterilization techniques 3) Without showing me where that needle came from (I have no clue if it came from a sealed package or not). Disgusting. Why in hell would you re-pierce a hole that already exists and that was perfectly healed???! At the end of it all he was able to put the new earring in by hand and just screwed it closed - like he should have done in the first place. And three days later I am left with a horrible infection in my ear that has required medical attention, and a lost piercing hole that was healthily healed for over 15 years. This man should not own a business not should his establishment be shut down. DO NOT COME HERE. Save yourself from a completely unprepared, unknowledgeable shop owner who has no concern for health and safety - something CRUCIAL in the tattoo and piercing business. I went to simply change an earring. I left with a serious infection. Unbelievable.
