I came in on Tuesday afternoon! And i have to say the food was amazing!!! It definitely tasted fresh. I had a Carne Asada Taco and a Carnitas Taco given the fact it was taco Tuesday!! I also couldn't help myself and grabbed a Modelo on draft. Overall the service was fast, they had great music playing and the employees helping me out seemed to be very charismatic towards me. I've given this place 3 tries and each time I have been sadly disappointed. The chicken is dry, the red rice undercooked and too salty. The professionalism of the employees is also a deterrent. The last time I came in, the manager was on the floor, walked to the kitchen and left me at the counter for three minutes until he came back to let me know an employee would be with me soon. This time, the employer who made our food made us feel uncomfortable while she and the manager (cook) snickered as they whispered things to each other, and the employee continued to giggle as she was making our food. I read some reviews and the comments that they "try to make it feel like a laid back environment" but that is accomplished with kindness, efficiency, and a respectful atmosphere. I have felt the opposite. I will not be trying a 4th time here. Please work on your work ethics and being respectful, especially when you are in a management position, employees act by their role models so be a better one and get your team to be successful, efficient, and respectful. My recommendation to Chronic Tacos: Your default taco (no ups, no extras) should come with a few minimum basic ingredients for those who have difficulty swallowing: red (or green) salsa and sour cream. If one doesn't include either in the request, the taco arrive embarrassingly dry. I know you are a chain, and chains have rules and regulations. But in order to compete with the independents who serve up monstrosities for less, ya gotta get in the game. Play the long game, and you will thrive. I came here the first time to get different items on the menu and it was confusing to order because they told me that some stuff are made to order from the kitchen and some are premade. It was hard to order more than 2 things. And after they packed everything, it turned out they forgot our breakfast burritos. I called them back about it and they just said "it's here". I had to ask multiple time for a refund and it took a while to get. I thought I would give them a second chance so I go there again another day and ordered for breakfast burritos. The menu for breakfast burritos says bacon, chorizo on the menu. When I order, they ask if I want egg and tots inside and I said yes then I ask for one bacon and another one with chorizo. After some wait, they told me it's ready to be made and put egg and tots on the tortilla. When I ask for bacon , they are like " you said just egg and tots" and thought I want other meat like beef or chicken. I was so confused. The menu said bacon or chorizo. It's like they don't even know their menu. So I had to wait again. Just getting these two burritos took about 30 mins and there wasn't even a line. The food was just ok. They didn't distribute the ingredients inside the burritos. Will not order in person again. read more

It's been a couple weeks that I went, I keep forgetting to write my review. First of all the food is okay, nothing amazing. But it was also not bad. The thing that disappointed me the most was the way the manager treated her employees. My food was being prepared by the first guy, this beautiful black girl finished preparing the food for customer before me, so instead of her just waiting for her coworker to finish his part she took initiative to help out, but of all the sudden the manager starts screaming at her "WHY IS THERE TWO PEOPLE WORKING ON ONE ORDER!" That really pissed me off, she was lucky I was on my cellphone with a client or else I would have yelled at her back. You never disrespect your employees let alone try to humiliate them in front of customers, the girl was just doing her job more efficient and being a team member. This place definitely does not have the ambiance and warmth and friendly service you get at real Mexican taco stand. These employees looked all defeated, and I am sure it has to do with their POS manager. FIRE THE MANAGER, The manager's presence will likely result in negative consequences, such as creating a hostile environment and causing a high turnover rate among employees. Ordered Postmates for pick up 2/4 around 7:30pm, came in 15-20 min later. I walk in no customers in store, lady working behind the counter is full volume on FaceTime with her friend. I say I'm here for a pick up, keeps talking to her friend while saying sorry one sec and puts her phone down with friend still on. I say again here for a pick up. She goes sorry about that let me make your burrito right now. But I was just so taken back how I'm assuming the manager was talking to the employees. I couldn't believe it! She was talking to them like they were nothing. I can't support anything like that. Absolutely love this place and I'm picky. The food is always fresh and great tasting. They do not skimp on the amount of protein given in the meal! The service is great. Every employee I've come into contact with has been extremely friendly and welcoming. We have been here about 10 times so far and I hope it is here to stay! Chronic Tacos has massive burritos and is very well priced, definitely my go to place when I am craving a burrito. The young man that works there named Shunsei makes the best burritos and you can tell he puts his heart and soul into his craft. I am relieved whenever I see him there because of the wonderful service and dedication taken by him to make sure the burrito is wrapped properly and looks perfect. There were at least 4 employees that I saw there plus one customer ahead of me ordering a burrito. 10 minutes later they are still making his burrito and haven't yet asked me what to order. Finally they ask me what I want and I tell them the Family Meal Deal I got last week. they tell me it takes at least 20 minutes to make that (it's literally you pick two proteins and they give you rice, beans, tortillas, and salsa to go with it - not sure why it would take that long). I finally got a chance to try out the new Chronic Tacos spot for the first time since they opened and it was delicious. I ordered. regular California burrito with the only change being the addition of their cilatro crema and it was perfect. I stopped in spontaneously on my way home from a quick run to the store so I sat outside to keep an eye on my bike while waiting and the girl who took my order was nice enough to bring my bag all the way out to me when it was ready. My first time trying this place and i can say the food was good the meat was seasoned to a perfection , i had the surf n turf and my son had the chicken burrito. The burritos are big and i was only able to eat half, well the both of us. The inside was clean, the staff were nice and friendly and they weren't stingy on the portion size.
