I have been wanting to try this place for years! Make sure you get reservations early, because they fill up fast. As you walk in you feel the vibe! Every table is filled, and people waiting at the door! Then you breath in the flavorful smells of Italy! The only complaint, is that it is very loud here. Started off with a few drinks, Old Fashioned, April Spritz, and a "The Closing Argument" all very good. For an appetizer we created a Piatto, charcuterie board, you must do this! Now this is cool, they have a Piatto Menu, and you can pick and choose from 24 items to put on your board. We picked some items and then ask our waiter Brenner to make some recommendations. Also, we ordered Bread for Two. This was perfect for 4 people. For entrees we ordered, Pesto Brenner Style (our Waiter) which included Chicken and Mozzarella, that was Amazing! Also ordered Saltimbocca, Vodka Diavolo and one other pasta dish, all very good! Save room for Dessert! We got Tiramisu, Classic, soooo good! Then the Affogato al Caffe... this is a must have, salted Carmel gelato, then pour a double shot of espresso over top!!!! Crazy Good! Then the Bread Pudding comes in third. We waited a few minutes for our table and ordered drinks at the bar. Really cool vibe! White string lights and music. Dimmed lighting made our evening warm and relaxing. Ed ordered the meatballs for a starter. They were some of the best we have had! The tomato sauce is incredible. My husband ordered the lamb Osso Bucco and it was out of this world! Very disappointed! It was not real pasta. Nor real sauce or real meatballs...sauce was from a can probably pre-made...meatballs? I couldn't find or taste the meat, garlic or herbs on it ...just breadcrumb paste with something else! Spaghetti? Well looks homemade..but obviously the apprentice didn't learn the technique yet! He creates a new type of Spaghetti...short spaghetti Very short cutted with a knife...(that's a sin!) But the worst part of all was "the cheese" from kroger brand probably...not even real cheese! How was it? Eatable...but not a gourmet or an italian experience at all! Any Positive point...? The Vodka Diavolo pasta brought the heat and spice, we really enjoyed it and I was so grateful they didn't skimp on shrimp and would have loved more mushrooms! The penne is housemade and phenomenal. We ate at Chrysalis for lunch to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We had the Vodka Diavolo and Salmone al Limone. Both were fabulous! Our waitress was so attentive and friendly and she blessed us with a free dessert for our anniversary! We chose the bread pudding and it was divine! I also ordered a latte and it was made perfectly. The waitress told us the coffee beans they use are roasted locally in Nolensville. The restaurant was very clean and the overall theme and decor was beautiful. We had such a great time here on a double date with some friends! I found their take on Italian cuisine to be fresh and vibrant. The service was great. Our waitress was always ready with refills and was so nice. We got the shareable bread and it was such a nice little app to get things started. Their wine list is pretty great with lots of options from different terroir. I ordered the salmon and it was fantastic! The homemade pasta that it came was delicious and filling. This is our favorite spot whenever we are in Franklin. The food is food. I've had the albedo, the mushroom appetizer and the eggplant appetizer. The ceasar salad was also good. I could do without the charcuterie as it's a bit pricey, but overall it's the drinks for me! Every one of the drinks I've had have been superb and we've had quite a few. And all the cocktails are more than reasonably priced. I'm happy to have found this gem. read more

Bartender nailed the gin cocktail... so good! Ordered a watermelon appetizer that looks so Summer fresh and tasted of the garden (panzanella, goat cheese, arugula topped with fresh watermelon). Main entree will be the salmon al limone over fresh fettuccini noodle...I could hardly wait for that first bite which was delicious, lemony and well seasoned. Might want to save a little space for an after dinner limoncello or expresso martini...maybe? Well, I splurged on dessert instead, limoncello tiramisu which is good but could use an extra kick of lemon, in my opinion. Do book your reservation and enjoy! read more

You won't find the word "Nonna" here- not sure if I even found the use of traditional. They set their self apart by not trying to compare themselves to traditional Italian restaurants- and they do it well, from the decor, to menus. Food - the server said they offered one homemade pasta per day- it was delicious. The Panzanella presentation was beautiful- though I had to remind myself not to compare it to other Italian restaurants. (For me, one of the best things in a tasty panzanella is how the bread absorbs the olive oil and balsamic vinegar.) However, this was a stellar summer watermelon panzanella, where all the flavors blended perfectly! Kudos! Service - not up to par with the quality of the food, everything went well until that last quarter of the service. Ambiance - open concept dining with a fresh feel. We will return. read more

Attempted to eat here. Took us several minutes to be sat and it wasn't busy. Staff just kept looking at us & another couple but never came over for awhile. Once we were finally seated, we never were given the opportunity to order. A server never came over, ever! We waited 20/25 minutes. Watched others be seated and served drinks, etc. The place was not busy and there were plenty of staff on duty. 2 behind the bar, 3 servers (2 who chose talking together over serving customers). Finally we gave up, told the man behind the bar we didn't appreciate being ignored and left. Too bad as it appeared to be a nice establishment and we were excited to try it out. I have since discovered that this has happened to others as well. Not sure what the issue is but it definitely needs to be addressed. read more

OMG! This place is amazing! We were just passing through Franklin and wanted a decent meal at the end of a long day of driving. I saw Chrysalis on Yelp. It had good reviews and was less than a mile from our hotel. What an incredible surprise! The crispy eggplant appetizer might just be one of the best things I've ever tasted! The red pepper sauce on it is mind-blowingly good. In fact, everything was absolutely delicious. The ambiance was great and the service even better. My only disappointment is that this restaurant is 546 miles from our home. You can bet we'll head straight for this place the next time we're in Franklin. I stopped in here with a couple of co-workers a couple of nights ago. I thought I saw happy hour on their website, but we weren't given a happy hour menu. Instead, we were just told that drinks were 20% off after I ordered my first one. The drinks are good and definitely worth the 20% off price. We also had the mussels and the meatballs and both were good portions and tasty. The service was fantastic. There were actually two servers for the whole place while we were there and they both checked in on us and got our orders out quickly. It's a bit small inside but it's cheerful and welcoming. I do feel like it's more of a place to have a whole meal than a happy hour and I think that's what most people were there for. read more
