I ordered the burger with a caramelized onion. And without a doubt they made justice for it. I think the onion balanced the taste of the burger. The fries was cut hugely. Just that the bread was too hard for me. Over all, it's a cool place. Pedí la hamburguesa con una cebolla caramelizada. Y sin duda lo hicieron justicia. Creo que la cebolla equilibró el sabor de la hamburguesa. Las patatas fritas fueron cortadas enormemente. Solo que el pan fue duro para mí. En general, es un lugar genial. read more

I have travelled quite a bit around Spain - From Barcelona to Madrid, and San Sebastian to Granada…read more-- and this little bar/bistro in Zaragoza is hands down my favorite. The location itself is perfect -- minutes walk from the main plaza. The restaurant has a nice clean and modern feeling with both indoor and outdoor seating. The tapas are divine -- each one I tried was delightful -- the croquetas being the best I have had in Spain. Most recently, I ordered a hamburger, reasonably priced at 6 Euro, and hands down it was the best hamburger I have ever had outside the US. In fact, better than many I have had in the US. The service is excellent admist a culture that isnt sevice oriented. Each wait person I have met is kind, friendly, helpful, and has gone out of their way to make this blonde from Seattle feel right at home in Zaragoza -- one has wven gone as far as to google things for me to teach me about food words that were lost in translation. If you are in Zaragoza -- do yourself a favor and have a drink and dine at La Lola. How desperately I want to pack the restaurant and its staff into my suitcase and bring them all back to Seattle -- where I am quite certain it would be a dashing success! I read about the place before I went to Zaragoza. It turned out way better than I imagined…read more Calamari was soft and that white sauce is out of this world. Similar to halal guys sauce and it was on the spot along with the hot sauce. I believe the white sauce is mayo based with tons of garlic. No matter what! Must try if you are in the city!!

We had the set lunch. You could order the short or long set lunch, and most of us got the short one which included an appetizer, a main and a drink. The long set menu included dessert. There were several choices for the both the appetizer and main and everyone was really pleased with their dishes! I loved my dish. I got an eggplant dish which was rolled up with mushrooms inside, baked in cheese. It was awesome. Drinks choices included wine if you like (typical in Spain, so that's cool). I happily had some white wine with my lunch and most of our table enjoyed the red. They bring over the whole bottle! Only two of us had the white, and we still got the bottle to share. The ambiance and decor in here is really cool too, and the servers were really nice. I'm not currently a vegetarian and I really enjoyed this restaurant! I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone, but if you're a vegetarian, this restaurant is a must in Zaragoza! It's hip, cute and tasty!
