Later on I'll be reviewing the Castle of to shit. Anyways, this tower is situated near the lake and is in the city near Nestle. Yes the company is from Switzerland. Saw the building too. The tower has some kind of walk way to it, but it was closed when we got to the door. We then took a walk around the tower. There was a cave with water dripping through the top as it was raining when we were there. Also a little area full of yachts. Cute place to meander around. The museum of games is here too.

This direction of travel through made our trip all down stairs. If you enter the other way (from the entrance where you pay (5.50 each), you'll be going up a bit of short, steep stairs. Either way you choose to go the gorge is amazing. We started the trail in the morning and never met anyone until we entered the gorge, still only meeting 2 people while down in it. Highly recommend! And if you fancy a bit more of a hike we found that loop trail to be great beginning to end.

They have huge fireplaces that you don't see anymore and all the artwork on the walls are hand painted & well preserved. Definitely grab a bottle of their wine to try from the gift shop.

Writers like Lord Byron, Victor Hugo, Mary Shelley, Charles Dickens, etc. also got inspired by this castle. I was staying in Montreux and it was a 13-minute bus ride that drops you off right in front of the castle. You can also take a train to get here. It's well-preserved as it's the only castle not destroyed by war or fire. It's a beautiful castle that's sitting on top of Lake Geneva. I was content seeing the outside of the castle despite getting free tickets to go in since I have Swiss Travel Pass. I was busy watching a couple of swans building a nest. Sometimes, I'm just not in the mood to stand in line to see dungeons, medieval art, armory, and somebody's chamber. I had other places to see and visit and didn't want to spend too much time here. But from admiring the view from outside was wonderful enough.

The cable car will be crowded and very tight spots. The ride experience is one of the best we had overall. This is a must-see experience on the French alps. Plan ahead, and you will spend at least 3 to 4 hours. In late June, we saw beautiful snow mountains over the clouds and walked inside an ice cave . Now words to describe this beauty !!!

If you're anywhere near Chamonix you really need to go see the glacier!!!…read more We showed up to the train station early on a Friday morning with tickets for the first train up, it was a lovely ride up the mountain to the top. We took the gondola down to the glacier, walked the many steps down the hill and into the ice cave. The glacier was spectacular! The views from this entire area are breathtaking! On our way back up we stopped in for a quick breakfast at the little cafe and had some sandwiches and coffee, a bit overpriced but everything was tasty. This was another must-see highlight of our trip! I heard that it can get really crowded which is why we went first-thing and we definitely beat any crowds, it was very pleasant. Also, the stairs down to the glacier are pretty extensive and are outside so make sure you're wearing the right shoes and are dressed warm.

U literally walking into glacier in the mountains of Mount Blanc. U can take train from the city drops I off entrance take gondola ride down near entrance then walk to the glacier. Inside insane Mother Nature witness in my life. Someone decides dig hole/tunnel huge glacier. Once inside feel temperature drop and ice solid. Beautiful. If in Mount Blanc must stop one day.

Til this day, there is a market here. Vendors selling flowers, fruits, vegetables, cheese and other food. This was once a marshy area. There's a water fountain, a clock that surprised me. I happened to walk in front of the clock and all of a sudden, I witnessed a show. It's animated clock that goes off every hour from 8am to 9pm. There's shopping and restaurants nearby. It's a busy place.
