We stayed in the area for a few days. We drove up and down the Route de Vins and chose this place to do some tasting after doing some research online. It's a very nice winery, lovely building in a nice setting. Inside it's very classy. Tours are available too. We tasted a few of their wines. Some red, some white. Really lovely french wine. It was really nice here in the tasting room, felt very relaxed. Ended up buying a pack of three wines: red, white and Rosé. For 99 Euros a really good price. Had the fresh, fruity and crisp White the same night for dinner and brought the other two bottles home. Both the Rosé and the Red were really enjoyable as well. France has so many wines and wineries. This one here surely is a very good one with enjoyable wines for every budget. A great tasting experience. And our Bulldog was even welcome inside as well. Parking is right out front and there are plenty of spots. read more

Best wine tasting I had on my trip! The workers were so friendly and not at all pretentious, they explain everything clearly and kindly and the wine was delicious! The cellar was amazing, the tour was great, and the wine shop was extensive and had excellent choices. I would definitely return here! read more

Well it's an interesting contradiction in situation incredible chateau and wines but little weird in service. But let's begin from the beginning. I've found the place online thought it would be a good place to get a lay of the land and view the wine production in Burgundy to take a tour and tasting. Given that we were visiting for the most part outside the busiest time we could just walk in buy a tasting and go. So we got a Prestige one because it offered the greatest variety of wines to taste. First part of the tour was great. Aline has done a good job explaining about the process and terroirs of the Chateau de Marsannay and its various wines but tasting was actually the better part of the visit. Once that was over weirdness started. Aline has set up a table with 6 glasses and bottles for tasting even though there were four of us, which seemed strange at the time. But then her colleague, who apparently does the tasting, set up another table for a couple that was on the tour with us separately for a tasting. So we just stood at the table waiting. 5 minutes pass by... after 10 minutes her colleague just stopped by to take some bottle off our table for his table. Seeing that we weren't being served we found this rather strange. Another 5 minutes pass by ... So we decided to just pour ourselves. Seeing that Aline stopped by and asked whether or not someone was over to help us, we said no but your colleague stopped by to take a bottle off our table, she seemed genuinely surprised. After calling over her colleague or rather her superior as we came to find out later she came over and apologized that we had to wait as there was confusion since her colleague Emmanuel was supposed to have been doing the tasting with "the americans", which I guess he only considered the older couple that was with us on tour since they spoke English to each other and we didn't, thus we must not be Americans. So he just left us and didn't even bother to check whether we were being helped when he stopped by to take a bottle. I mean for the person whose job it was to actually do the tastings it is disconcerting to find out that he can't manage this task, which seems to be the only one he's responsible for. But no matter. Aline ran a tasting for us, which we thoroughly enjoyed and actually along with that had offered us a nice bottle to recompense for the wait, which was great and salvaged the situation. But wines there sell themselves and my biggest disappointment is that we couldn't get more. The 4 we bought and 1 we got were gone in the next 2 evenings. read more
