We only had the chance for a quick visit to the castle from the outside. On this years Road Trip through France we've seen lots of castles and fortresses. This here was another fine castle. Really has the looks of a fairy tale castle. Big and deep moat as well. A small drawbridge brings you across it where you could buy tickets for the visit. Looked really interesting and is something we will do the next time we come around. But just from outside you can see the different parts and sections of the castle quite well. Even though the entrance itself is small, the gate and the attached twin towers are massive. A statement! Other tower all around the castle are impressive as well. It's just a fantastic piece of architecture and a sight to behold. On the plaza in front of the castle you will also find a war memorial, worth checking out. France has a lot of wonderful castles.
