The hotel is absolutely lovely: clean and modern, with interesting artistic touches throughout. Thomas met us at the door, showed us to our room, and left us with some dinner recommendations. In the morning, he was a quiet yet welcoming host and waiter at breakfast. (Note that breakfast--which was simple and delicious--is not included in the room fee.) The room itself had plenty of space and was immaculate. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was sparkling. Our only trouble was that we weren't smart enough to get the AC working, so I'd suggest getting specific instructions for that. From the hotel, it's about a block to get into the charming old area of town, and there are lots of dining choices right outside. If we ever have reason to visit Angers again, we'd jump at the chance to stay at 21 Foch.

When people hear Best Western hotel, they don't picture a place as lovely as this ! This Best…read morewestern was quite a pleasant surprise ! The only minor thing was it took a bit of time to check in a group of eight people. When I asked the gentleman at the front desk where I might purchase an adapter, he kindly offered me one to use during my stay. It was really nice to have that option and it was for multiple inputs. (I made sure to return it to the front desk upon checkout so others may have it for use ) My room was very nice and while it was facing a Main Street, it was not too loud. Once I figured out how to turn on the heat, it was perfect temperature. The breakfast was good. The pastries and eggs were tasty. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

This was my first experience at a self serve motel. I found it amazing…read more 8 PM and my wife uses her phone to book a room for us and a room for the kiddos. We arrive about midnight and I expect to find a groggy attendant behind bulletproof glass. Instead we find a dark entryway and an .....ATM? Nope, check in console, but pretty close. We enter the code we got on line and get 2 more codes. One for our room and one for the kid's. All the codes work right. The room is tiny but it's cute and well laid out. You can open the window if you want a little breeze and some light or you can close the window and drop the black out shade and sleep until check out. A perfectly pleasant night and a little, free breakfast and we were off to further adventures. Awesome!!!

THIS hotel not only checked us in, but also made us feel welcome, warm, and safe. Thank God they had a staffed front desk. The woman there cared about us and about getting us checked in and warm (we were soaked from walking in the rain). Definitely check out this hotel for a good deal and friendly service in a suburb of Angers.
