    snap peas salad
    Marietta C.

Dear Chase, thank you for introducing me to this incredible date night spot. You'll barely ever see me write a review for Italian spots because I don't even go to any. It's almost impossible for me to ever be happy with Italian food outside of Italy or home. WELL, Ci Siamo proved me WRONG and I'm so happy they did. We came here for a pre concert dinn dinn. Initially I thought we'd just get some drinks and apps and keep it moving. The dishes were jaw dropping and served with the prettiest details. We ordered the tagliatelle al sugo, orechiette with ramps, pistachio and pecorino and the snap peas with bulgur, asparagus and sunflour seeds. WOW WOW WOW The sugo was uncomplicatedly made come lo fa tua nonna. None of the heavy Italian American traditions. All so delicious adding their own twist. The orecchiette was such a creative dish but also so bright, colorful and so many different textures and flavors that to perfectly together. Portions were perfectly sized and we got to share and try everything. If we would've ordered apps it would've been too much. Got the Ci siamo martini (botanical to the core just how I like it!) and a rotating mezcal with aperol drink. Overall great place to dine in or come out with your friends. Be sure to make a resy!

Ci Siamo might have the best foccacia I have ever had and I'm a sourdough bread baker and have had my fair share of good bread... I highly recommend trying it. I got to try a lot of their dishes on a prix fix menu and my favorites were the cast iron foccacia, carmelized onion torta, rigatoni alla gricia, bomboloni, and lemon torta. You have to try the bomboloni if you like rich dark chocolate desserts. It was fudgey, rich and so decadent. Their Amaretto Sour was also delicious, kudos to the bartender who went above and beyond to get an extra ingredient to make it and shook up the delicate egg white top.

I came here during a trip to New York City last week, and really enjoyed my time. The staff was wonderful, everyone was very friendly and service was prompt. I only had a late lunch because I wasn't super hungry, but what I had was pretty tasty. Honestly, I was inspired to write this review for the salad lol. The INSALATA VERDE, was freaking incredible. UGH. So fresh and the flavors were perfect. I also got a pasta, CAVATELLI ALLO SCOGLIO, but sadly wasn't that into it. All of the flavors were good, I just think it didn't come together in a way that my taste buds enjoyed lol. But I can't say it was nasty, just not my vibe. Overall was a great visit, and a great location for a cute lunch in the city, especially if you're near the highline! Oh! And I can't forget the cute little welcome wine that they have in the elevator. It's only on the second floor, but it was a nice experience.

Came here for lunch yesterday after a Peloton class, and it exceeded my expectations. My steak was the only disappointment. I ordered it medium, but it was cooked well done. Despite that, the quality of the food and overall experience were still very good.

The tasty tomato conserva, served with the focaccia

TL;DR: Crowded Italian spot with pricey but large portions. A bit salty, but good flavors otherwise. Best dishes: Cast Iron Focaccia or Caramelized Onion Torta to share. Baba Al Rum was also tasty, as was the Orecchiette. Rigatoni was salty, but well-flavored. I visited a popular Italian restaurant from the Union Square Hospitality group with a group of five others. The restaurant is quite large, and although it was somewhat noisy, the tables were spaced apart enough that it was easy to hear everyone. We had an early dinner at 5:45 PM, which took quite a while, but I didn't mind. To drink, I went with the Bitter Giuseppe for $19, with Cynar 45.3, Punt e Mes, lemon, and sea salt. I'm a fan of most Negronis, and this was a particularly bitter version. The bit of lemon and sea salt added a unique but enjoyable flavor at the end, though in retrospect, the salt probably wasn't super necessary. Two of us split, and eventually, a few of us ordered their signature appetizer, the $18 Cast Iron Focaccia, with tomato conserva, a mixture of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, and Calabrian chili. The bread was fresh and warm, albeit a tad oily and salty, but it paired wonderfully with the conserva. As someone who doesn't like it when bread is extra, this was delicious and worth it. Another person ordered the $18 Insalata Verde. It was very large, but fairly basic, with a vinaigrette that had a citrusy and mustardy flavor. There was also the Caramelized Onion Torta for $27, which was very large, as expected for the price point. It had a creamy and tangy flavor from the Pecorino Toscano with some sweetness from the onion. It was delicious, but very heavy, and I would recommend that around three or four people split it alongside the focaccia. Finally, there was also the $15 Pizza Bianca, which was easily the smallest of all the plates, but they still enjoyed it. My main dish was the Orecchiette for $26, with ramps, pistachio, and pecorino. Like most of their dishes, the portion size was quite large, with plenty of pasta, which was perfectly cooked. The ramps added a touch of sweetness, although I would have liked a few more nuts. Additionally, there was almost too much pecorino, which made the dish slightly salty, but it was still enjoyable. As a side, I got the $19 Grilled Asparagus with dates, vermouth, and blue cheese, which came with many pieces of lightly charred asparagus. While there was plenty of funky blue cheese, I would have preferred more dates. Two of the others got the Rigatoni Alla Gricia for $30. The portion was large, and I tried a bit while they tried mine. The noodles were again cooked perfectly, and while there was a lot of guanciale, this was easily the saltiest of all the dishes. For dessert, I chose their Baba AU Rum for $18, which was uniquely mixed with chocolate and orange. The presentation was a bit off, as it looked like a certain emoji, but the flavor made up for it. The subtle hint of rum paired with the bitter-sweet chocolate and orange. The dark chocolate-covered orange slice on top was a nice touch as well. Someone else got a tart, and one other person got the Gelati, which resulted in one of the only faults during service. She heard it was two scoops, and ordered espresso stracciatella and hazelnut, but was given two separate orders for $12 each. The gelato was good, but unlike most things, definitely not worth it for the price. I liked the appetizers much more, but I found the food good overall. Tasty dessert, and the portions make up at least a bit for the relatively higher prices.

Came here a for a nice lunch. Loved the decor and vibe. Service was great! Staff was really nice. Appetizer carmelized onion torta. So good very decadent. Def a must try! Meal we ordered two pasta ( rigatoni alla gricia and orecchiette) and shared ribeye for some protein. Presentation was really good but was really disappointed it was so salty. I was even surprised the ribeye was really salty, but also very fatty. Not sure if it was an off day or we just had bad luck.

I'll go as far as saying Ci Siamo is my favorite Italian spot in NYC after Misi Ci Siamo was named the #1 restaurant in the U.S. by Yelp in 2026, and EVERY SINGLE DISH HIT! I saw fellow Yelper friends Lailah J and Stacy K's great reviews so I decided to give them a try. You HAVE to get the caramelized onion torta, and you really can't go wrong with any of their pasta. The vibe is upscale but still cozy, with enough space between tables so it doesn't feel packed. It's not that difficult to get a res if you book early. *Caramelized Onion Torta $27 ** Their signature torta absolutely slaps. One of the best bites I've ever put into my mouth. Rich, creamy, and cheesy, almost like a French onion soup in pie form. It's definitely indulgent, so I'd recommend sharing. *Marinated Broccoli $18 * Didn't expect to fall in love with a veggie dish, but here we are. The broccoli was packed with flavor and finished with smoked chili and crunchy breadcrumbs. *Rapini Agnolotti $29 ** Stuffed with ricotta just how I liked it. The bright citrusy note from the lemon really lifted the dish and balanced everything well. *Rigatoni Alla Gricia $30 ** Super satisfying. The guanciale was crispy and savory, and the rigatoni held onto the creamy sauce well. *Olive Oil Poached Orata $38 Since they're known for their handmade pasta, the entree didn't quite wow me. The fish had a few small bones, which threw me off a little. *Lemon Torta $18 The olive oil meringue was fluffy and light, pairing with the tangy lemon tart. It didn't leave a strong impression though. *Torta Calabrese $18 ** I'm usually not a chocolate dessert person, but I actually preferred this over the lemon torta. The combo of espresso gelato and rich dark chocolate cake was a match made in heaven. I loved the slight bitterness in it.

    This restaurant is up the stairs on w31st first I was confused where it was but saw a directory on the street level that helped guide me I walked up 2 flrs (they have an elevator) greeted by lovely hostess it's a vast area we sat in the back our waitress was fantastic adhering to our gluten free allergy we ordered the small tomatoes dish sitting in an amazing sauce , the cucumber salad and pasta . And a fabulous and much needed cocktail "Peace of Mind" which is what it gave me . Dessert we hared a cheese cake no crust an the espresso gelato delicious. Mix crowd of people who work in the area.;

I was really impressed by the service here! Our server was so sweet, and she noticed that my husband and I had switched entrées, so she came over to ask if everything was okay and if I was sure that I wanted to keep the pasta. I ended up keeping the pasta, but then she ended up giving us a complementary almond gelato, which was just so kind of her and not necessary. When you enter, the entrance is really nice, and you have to go up to the second level, so you can either take the stairs or the elevator. The restaurant itself is pretty large, and it has a nice view of the Empire State building as well. We ordered: - Caramelized Onion Torta (5/5) this was our favorite dish! We've never had anything like it. - Insalata Verde (5/5) this balanced out the torta very well, and it was very refreshing and light. - Rigatoni Alla Gricia (4/5) I got this because it was recommended by a lot of people, but I think at the end of the day I am a tomato sauce girlie, because this sauce was very heavy and very creamy. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but it was just a lot to try to eat in one sitting. - Orecchiette (5/5) I really liked this dish, as well as the little bit of heat! - Pistachio Gelato (4/5) I liked the texture of the gelato, but I couldn't really taste the flavor of the pistachio at all. Maybe it's because the almond gelato was just much stronger in terms of the flavor. - Negroni (5/5) so good!

I had lunch here and ordered the Smoked Carrots and the Tuna Tonnato. It is not what I expected. Far better than I thought because I saw what the people next to me ordered. Excellent! Located on the 2nd floor of the Manhattan Esplinade in Hudson Yards. And then another elevator to go up a floor. Both had some creamy base under the dish. And both were delicately seasoned and flavorful. Definitely a foodie's choice. I also ordered the Lemon meringue which I usually love. Their Lemon meringue is a surprise which came in such smooth cream served with a torched meringue with lots of olive oil. I think 2 people could have had it.

The onion torta is indeed amazing. We also got the focaccia which is very airy, along with the mortadella. I got the stuffed trout which was very good and almost completely deboned. This is a good portion compared to their other dishes. We had the lemon torta and the Gelatos for dessert, and both were great. I had the industry standard and the tonio for drinks, and appreciated both.

Ci Siamo was decadent. Service, decor, food and cocktails are all show-stoppers. It's definitely not surprising how popular of a place this is. What I tried: + Negroni. Smooth, flavorful and the perfect cocktail to enjoy with some small plates + Crunchy ravioli. This is an oversized ravioli filled with cacio e pepe goodness and topped with lots of shaved parm. An order comes with two and you can add on a third a la carte. This is a must-order. + Onion tarte. This is incredibly rich and is basically like French onion soup on top of bread. Worth trying, but just note that it's heavy. + Pastas! The rigatoni was my favorite and this was basically just like cacio e pepe. That's another must-order. The beef pappardelle was just okay and probably would not order again. Portions of both pastas are extremely generous. + Veggie sides! Broccoli was perfection - I always like broccoli with my pasta. Carrots were great but just note that they are pretty rich for a veggie side since they come topped with lots of herbs, capers and cheese. Dinner was fabulous and I can't wait to return.

Evening out with the family. My kids loved this place and said we must go. Located on the second floor this, large, sprawling restaurant is very cool, updated and casual. Service was top notch and very attentive. Best way to experience is to share the menu items. Top 5 go to items, cast iron forccacia, caramelized onion tort, cavatelli with lobster, rigatoni and the pork Milanese. Four of us shared these and left full and happy. No room for desert, next time.

Ask the Community - Ci Siamo

Is it a kid friendly or good for family dinners?

I would say that it is not particularly kid friendly. This is more of an adult restaurant.

Any issues wearing jeans and a sweater here?

No. Most clients dress smart casual.

Are dogs allowed on the top patio?

    Absolutely not!!!

Is there a spicy dish on the menu?

Having dined there for both lunch and dinner I don't recall there being what I would consider a spicy dish on the menu.

    Is this place kid friendly?

Although I did see a family with young children, I would say it is really more of an adult atmosphere. Not to mention I wouldn't call it a kid friendly menu.

The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly.
