They charged a 25%…read morepremium and then tried to charge me 87 dollars to ship a 200 dollar 18.5x25.5 poster from Ohio to California. When I complained they said they thought it was framed and they would lower the shipping. They then send a bill including 50 dollars shipping. When I wrote them asking why the cost was so high to roll a small poster in a tube with postage I know is less than 12 dollars they wouldn't reply to my email. Instead they charged my credit card, including the 50 dollars and a 7.50 credit card charge. A few years ago I also had a problem with Hindmans when he sold me some circus posters in a lot for 527 dollars and I found out they were not original but cheap reproductions. I called and they agreed to cancel the sale but six months later Hindman called and rudely demanded payment. He said that even though the information on Live Auctioneers didn't say they were reproductions they were covered since their own website disclosed they were reproductions. When I refused to pay he tried to ban me from bidding on Live Auctioneers. He then resold the posters again without disclosing on Live Auctioneers that they were worthless reproductions. I buy from over 100 auction houses and Cowans/Hindman are the worse I have dealt with. They lie, they cheat and they rip you off. BUYERS BEWARE.

I've known Joe Russell for many…read moreyears and spent lots of money buying from his auctions, and a few months ago I decided to consign a truckload of things, mostly small easily photographed and shipped. Filled out the paperwork with Nell and thought I'd get a copy of the consignment etc.. in the mail. That didn't happen, but I trusted them since I'd known them both for years and never had a bad experience on the buying side of things. I saw a few of my items listed for auction initially some doing well, but the company has the site set up so that when the item sells you can't see what it sold for, and can't bring up past auction results. Totally opaque and perfect for funny business. It's middle of July, have stopped at the building in Hamilton Ohio where I dropped things off, it's abandoned, and have called and left messages, no response. I'll file complaint with State of Ohio, but judging by other reviews, that will be to no avail since this type of thing has been going on for years. People and businesses scam all the time, especially when it comes to government money, so Joe is going about it all wrong, penny-ante hustler.

I'm sure it's OK to buy things here but I wouldn't ever sell things to these people. I'd sue them for grand theft but I don't want the hassle
