My mother's been going to her for nearly 20 years, and I just started, but I know I'm going to go here while she still works there (though she's very bubbly and energetic, she is nearing retirement age). The place can get really hot when the temperatures climb, but I really didn't mind because it was such a pleasure being there and having her do her magic (and she'll spend as much time as necessary on your hair to make sure you're satisfied, even if it means closing her store later). You do have to make an appointment though (I'd recommend about 1 week in advance to make sure you get the time/day you want).

I saw their waxing equipment, and it didn't look professional or sterile (and it was possibly food service equipment they are using for waxing), so I would definitely stay away from that. The salon has been hot, crowded, and unpleasant every time I've been there. So why four stars? This is the only Indian eyebrow place I've been able to find, and they do a good enough job that I won't stop going there. It's cheap. It's conveniently located near the metro. Their hours are great. They're open until 8 p.m., including on Saturdays and Sundays.

My hair was a mess after the long flight from California and I needed a good stylist. I found this salon not too far from my hotel. The junior stylist who washed and blew dry my hair was so good that I didn't need to do anything for the first few days of my meeting. I came back the day before my departure to get color and cut. I was overwhelmed with the results by the senior stylist (there seemed to be only two women there). The price was very reasonable compared to what I pay in CA. I don't know if they speak English but I was able to communicate with them in my very limited French and hand gestures. I am definitely coming back during my next business trip here!
