After explaining to her that we have had no issue getting change until today she turn rather rude and finally gave in but "this would be the last time" had to bring in management to get anywhere...now when one of the workers goes in she will completely ignore us and not help us..rather rude, if we didn't have to do our banking here we wouldn't!

When I came in to deposit a cheque today it appeared like they were doing a book sale in the front foyer to benefit a charity. Despite that though they really failed to make a 5 star wow factor first impression with me today. They had one teller working during the lunch hour which I thought was odd. He also gave me the impression that he was new as there was an irate elderly gentleman giving him a hard time about the withdrawal limit on his ATM card and he really seemed lost as to how to calm him down or deal with his concern. Finally another teller was brought out after the lady behind me commented to a gentleman working in the offices to the right of the front desk. The service was speedy after that but the teller called off her lunch break REALLY did not look delighted to be there. If I had to do more banking out in Sherwood Park I would come back but I definitely would not favor it over my home branch in Edmonton.

I was very pleased with the level of service at this TD location. I was set up with a chequing, savings, and credit card. Years down the road, I ran into some tough times with the loss of my job. I asked this branch to freeze my chequing account as I had two pre-authorized debits come out that put me into over draft. After a couple months I was back on my feet with a new job, and armed with a cheque to bring my account well into the black, I went to this branch to unfreeze my account so that my new employer could start making direct deposits. The employee I sat down with said that her branch had closed the account, and sent it to collections. Now my employer had bad account information, and my next paycheque would be late getting to me, making me fall behind on other bills. The employee of this branch instructed me to call their collections department to sort it out as the individual branch cannot take a payment after its been sent to collections. I went home, and made a call; for whatever reason still trying to clean up this mess and stay at TD. Their collections department told me the branch was mistaken and the account was not in their files, and I had to make a payment to the branch. I went back to this branch and was told they wouldn't be able to do anything still. This is what I asked, and the response I got verbatim "I guess I will have to use a different bank then?" to which the employee said "I guess so.". So I told them to never contact me again and they haven't. I am now a very happy customer of ATB.

I have always been pleased with the service I receive at this bank and don't have any desire to switch banks at all. I recently decided to talk to a financial planner at the baseline branch as I am really trying to get everything in order so I can purchase my first home. Leah Beck is AWESOME!!!!!! She helped me work through everything, helped me make a budget, and set up all my auto transfers so that I really don't even have to really think about it. Leah is easy to talk to and I can relate really well with her. She really understands where I am coming from (even when I make her budget in $50/month to get my nails done). Never once got the 'I'm being lectured' feeling from her. In fact, she commended me on my money management skills and agreed that I had the right idea - I just needed a guideline to follow. Best part about the whole thing - she agreed that my Ex-bf is a big A$$ (holding me to a loan I cosigned 5 years into our 7.5 year relationship for him because his credit is so effed he can't finance anything on his own - nor will he put the effort in to selling it - btw - if anyone reading this knows what I can do about that without getting screwed over let me know!!!!!) - this was the selling point for me!! Thanks for being on my side Leah!!! :) ...haha, the financial advise was good too! I would highly recommend talking to Leah if you are having trouble budgeting in general, or if you want to know the best way to financially achieve a goal you may have in mind. She's just great!

This stems from 3 less than happy experiences with this organisation. 1: A manager was transferred and we had an appointment with her which she forgot to hand off to another staff member. 2: Another manager was unavailable and did not answer voicemail or emails from us over a 3 day period. 3: One of our accounts was suspended from accessing online and when I tried to get this resolved by phone, I got no results. I went to the branch in Gibbons to get access renewed and the teller I spoke to could not give me any valid reason for the trouble. I waited for a resolution for 1/2 hour then made the 35 minute drive home with nothing resolved. A couple of hours later, the account access was restored but no explanation was given for the suspension. I will say that the dividend payments have, over the years been reasonable but I'm not sure if dealing here is worth the bother. Communication, Credibility and Customer Service all need to be tuned up! Les Close (a customer for 10+years)

Very disappointed…read more Was referred to this bank in Sherwood Park to become a new customer. ATB said they would give me $350 if I signed up. I signed up in February 2015 and asked for the money. ATB said I had to make at least two payroll deposits before I could get the money. I did. Still no money. I sent 3 emails online to ATB customer service. They would not respond. I am guessing that many others who were duped are complaining and Customer Service Reps are ignoring the emails from irate customers. I went to the ATB Wye Rd branch in Sherwood Park on July 22. ATB changed the story again and said I would have to wait till August 2015 for the $350. It seems like a classic case of "bait and switch." Bait and switch scams are illegal in this province. I wrote the ATB CEO Dave Mowat July 22, 2015 and copied the letter to CBC TV show Marketplace. Will look for a local TV station to do a story on ATB Wye Road. A clerk at the bank told me on July 22, 2015 that there was fine print indicating you basically had to jump through hoops to get the $350. I told him that the ATB was founded during the Depression to help poor folks get bank accounts and credit, and that bait and switch scams should be left to the bigger banks that are EACH making over 1 billion a year in PROFIT from nuisance bank fees. I will wait to hear from CEO Dave Mowat tomorrow. If I can't get ATB Wye Road to pay me my $350, I will close my account due to the bank's non-payment of funds. Today, I also filed a complaint against ATB with Alberta Consumer Affairs alleging unfair trade practices. The tactics being used by the bank are truly unfortunate. I just do not trust them anymore. P. S. ATB is planning a similar promotion coming soon with smaller incentive amounts. Buyer beware.

I had an appointment with one of their personal banking associates at the beginning of June, and brought my husband with me. The associate completely ignored me and my questions, and would only talk directly to my husband. The associate didn't even look in my direction, let alone give ME banking advice, which was the reason for the appointment in the first place. I find it sad that TD doesn't even recognize thriving home businesses income as income, and that their associates believe it is ok to treat their customers in such a derogatory & negative way. I'm disgusted with the way the meeting went, and that the associate we dealt with is able to be an employee at such a 'reputable' bank. That was the last straw for me and my family - we will no longer be doing banking with them in the future.

I asked for the manager, again, she never did go get him/her. Finally after ten minutes she said That she could release the money after all. The teller never checked with her manager or another employee to see what could be done to resolve the issue. Instead, She argued with me, wasted my time and then decided that my requests could be met. FRUSTRATING! I would not go to this bank again. Go the one near Sherwood park mall, I have never had an issue there.
