I can't think of a better torta in the burbs even with the bread being average for my rankings. Very filling and awesome sandwich balance. Helps stomach the $14 price point. Taco Arabe - where were you all my life? Normally I wouldn't care for the side dipping Chipotle sauce, but dang, just dangity fire. I'm going to end up trying this at all the other places where I see it now. Green sauce - top tier Red sauce - not my thang, so not going to judge. No napkins in my takeout...only ding. Was surprised to see that on the menu, decided to give it a try, it was really really good. I have to say when I'm in the mood for a good grilled chicken sandwich, I actually go here. Stopped here in between my kids soccer games close by. We wanted some authentic Mexican food & they did not disappoint! The staff were very welcoming and the service was great. We were greeted right away and our waiter was very attentive throughout our meal. The food was very good and the portion sizes were great! Out of everything we ordered the steak quesadillas were my favorite. The facility was very clean and they had a wide selection of food on their menu. The waiter we had asked us if we wanted any salsa with our food- we said yes (of course) and when we got the bill we noticed they charged us $5 for the side side of salsa without any mention of that up front That would have to be my only complaint though- everything else was great- food, service, location & ambiance read more

We got hungry and craving for Mexican food and we found this place on Yelp with promising reviews. The reviews were totally on time! There used to be a few cemita places in the city but all got shut down. I'm glad to find another one in Schaumburg. Service was amazing and attentive and it's very comfortable inside. The food here is excellent, breakfast and lunch. This is our new go to for Mexican food. They have beer and cocktails, which is a bonus. They could use some help with the cocktails. We tried a mimosa one time for breakfast and it was more like a tequila sunrise. Then for dinner we had a margarita and it was very sweet. Fresh juices and good tequila would make a huge difference instead of mixes. Service is always good. Ambiance is welcoming. I recommend this place. read more

I was then provided an estimated ready time. The time they provided was accurate and my food was ready to be devoured once I got to the restaurant! I tried the chicken, Al pastor and steak tacos with cilantro, onion and lime. If you're looking for the more Americanized option (lettuce, tomato, cheese) there is an upgrade for that. My favorite was the steak - it's marinated well and very flavorful. The al pastor was also very delicious. Both of em were cooked perfectly, very juicy and delicious! We have a new favorite Mexican restaurant! Amazing, authentic, Mexican food, great service, nice family restaurant. I'm a huge mole fan, and the homemade mole is superb. I ordered from this place less than a week ago. I haven't used my credit card for three weeks because I ordered new flooring for my kitchen and hallway a month Ago so I figured since I paid off my credit card let myself enjoy a nice Mexican meal for pick up. I go inside pay $43 and some change food was good a few days later I get a charge on my credit card for $15.95 from a college bookstore so I call my bank right away. Cancel my card to get a new one so I'm thinking how did my credit card get used when I haven't even used it and I've had it on me the whole time well, I looked into it and someone at the restaurant with a Spanish name not to be racist, but that's what it is a Spanish name a girl who was born in 1971 they don't give you the rest of her email. They just give you her first name and then her email without her last name so someone from this restaurant took my information and ordered their child a book from college shady as hell watch this place make sure you don't give your credit card try to pay cash. You can seat yourself to any empty table that is available. My friend and I ordered 3 tacos each. I got the Mexican style with no cilantro (steak, pork, and shrimp) and my friend got American style (steak, shrimp, and chorizo). The tacos were fulfilling and delicious. I personally liked the shrimp and my friend liked the chorizo the best. If you live closed by or in the neighborhood, good place to grab some Mexican food. read more

We have had their burritos, taco platter and the to die for corn soup. Too much--ask for half servings. The margaritas despite being "machine made" are served in a larger than life glass--rimed with salt. The chips and the dipping salsa are fantastic. Located at a strip mall near downtown Schaumburg, this Mexican restaurant seems recently built (or is it?). The interior seems more modern than typical Mexican restaurants. Their complimentary chips came with spicy salsa sauce which was really nice. We tried their chicken quesadillas which had lots of flavors and came with a good portion of veggies, avocado and sour cream. The downside was the chicken was kinda hard...We also ordered their shrimp burrito. They didn't skim on shrimps, however, the ingredients were not spread eventually so my half had a ton of cheese but no beans and shrimps... Service was quick and attentive. Went here on a random Thursday night with friends. Greeted and sat promptly. Very simple restaurant but felt homey. We had fajitas and enchiladas. Both were done well and served quickly. Cielo had very good food and service. My wife and I were surprised with how great the chips, salsa and guacamole were to begin our meal. The guacamole tasted very fresh. The burrito was a nice sized burrito. I enjoyed the flavors of this burrito but wish I would have ordered steak instead of chicken. My wife's steak burrito had better flavor than the chicken burrito. On a Sunday afternoon we were looking for Mexican food and found this on Yelp. When we walked in we were the only ones in the restaurant, but it did start filling up shortly after our arrival. We were immediately greeted, offered a table and provided with salsa and chips. The salsa was a bit too spicy for me. I had a burrito and it was so large,I could barely eat half of it. It was filled with pork, beans and rice. My husband had carne asada and shrimp tacos. The portions were very generous. Neither entrée came with sides, but they were not really needed. Horrible Service. The person running the front was horrendous. I ordered via uber and walked in and asked if my order was ready to which I was told 3-4 more minutes. I went outside and waited and walked back in but was not acknowledged. When I asked instead of being apologetic he said it's just not ready and when I complained about why he would then tell me 3-4 minutes he said "I know what I said". Total smart ass for the remainder of the interaction. He said "the cooks are behind what do you want me to do there's nothing I can do" Yea maybe saying that initially wouldn't have had me going in and out checking if the order was ready. I asked him to cancel the order which was the only thing he did right. There's no way I'll be giving my money to a place that is ok with being so horrible. While this place has a very good menu and great variety. It's hit and miss on some items. I loved their quesadillas and was excited to go back to try 2 other items for carryout. Sadly I was very disappointed. I write very credible reviews to help people make choices. Unfortunately, I have to update and take stars away. While they are using all fresh produce and bread items, the meat on both of the sandwiches was not that great (breaded chicken cermita, Milanese Beef torta). When ordering, I asked if they used real chicken breast on the cemita which the girl advised they did. Sorely the chicken was more of a super very thin processed pressed meat piece. I didn't even taste chicken. The rest of everything on the sandwiches was very good. Basically it tasted better without the meat! After 1 bite, I threw the entire sandwich away. They need to significantly improve the chicken used in the sandwiches. Chicken should look and taste like a breast not look like a super thin light yellow pressed object. read more

Stopped by to grab a torta, rice & beans, and a horchata to go and I'm glad I did. At first, I thought it was kind of pricey but I was wrong.
