Living in SWFL, I'm usually a quick Ybor City trip away from good cigars, but as a listener of the "Cigar Guys" podcast, they are always talking this place up so it's been on my bucket list to check this place out next time I'm up in the Orlando area. I will say, it did not disappoint! Almost makes me wish I lived closer. The humidor is absolutely mesmerizing! The selection was top notch; a lot of good rare finds (and the Besas, of course). The lounge was gorgeous. I wish I could have stayed to have some drinks and a stick there; unfortunately I was on a time crunch. I will DEFINITELY be back to come relax in the future! The tobacconist was also very helpful. The price point is pretty industry average for the sticks as well. There's a good range from your decent $15 stick to your higher end cigars. They had a nice Father's Day bundle with about 6 great Fuentes cigars that my wife got me as well as the Besa Habano Toros and the Sans Pareil Red. 5/5 read more

Free parking on street or behind the venue. One thing that stood out for me was their selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Was able to get a Guinness zero with my cigar which was delightful. I normally have a good time at Cigarz. The last time I went with some friends I was hoping to enjoy a traditional pipe smoke, however they do not allow pipe soaking in this establishment. Not sure why. I even purchased a cigar and several whiskeys beforehand. read more

They have a vast selection and something for the seasoned aficionado. The customer service was friendly and attentive. Several friends and I have gathered here every few months or so to smoke cigars and catch up. While the drinks are expensive, we've let that slide as the place is comfortable. However, we will not be returning after the rudeness of one of their clerks who was disgruntled because we showed up at 11 AM opening time and he had not been able to finish his breakfast. While in the humidor (where a clerk must always be present with customers), this guy asks us if we needed help. I replied I'm not sure what I'm looking for. He snarkily replied "cigars"? Then he mentioned something about not finishing his breakfast and acted pissed like we should hurry up and make our selection. Admitting when you're wrong is crucial because it rarely happens. In this case I WAS WRONG! I have returned several times. Here is my updated review and justification Feel- 4.5/5 I was unlucky to have gone in the first day I did go in, if you saw my last review I talked about a group of "gentleman" that frequent the lounge. Upon further notice and revisiting this group seems to not come in as much as I initially thought. The manager is still nice but quiet (which who really cares) and the atmosphere is still classic and well organized Selection- 5/5 This place has by far the best and more diverse selection of premium cigars you will find in central FL, never mind the lounge in downtown (that's for a different day) if you want AUTHENTICITY THIS IS THE BEST OPTION!! Value- 4/5 Again a nicer place will have higher prices, I still can't justify the more expensive prices but there tons of selection here your bound to find similarities for cheaper. Really glad that Winter Park has a classy cigar bar now. I love an occasional cigar, but finding a good place for that is difficult. Cigarz on the Avenue boasts an impressive room full of various cigars, with kind and knowledgeable staff. The drinks are good and the lounge area is comfortable with high quality chairs/couches - you don't have to reach far at all for a forth or an ashtray. I was very impressed with the selection of cigars at this cigar shop. Almost everything is top shelf, and if not top shelf, it is very good stuff. But let me give you a little bit of background. I happen to have lived the cigar boom in Miami, have many friends who have shops, who are makers and distributors, and even some friends who own tobacco farms in other countries. I also used to know several of the best rollers in Miami because I luckily speak Spanish. I went on a streak of smoking the best cigars, visited the best shops in the Caribbean and Europe, and smoked Cuban cigars before they were a thing. In other words, I know cigars and cigar shops. Yet, to be honest, I don't even remember why I stopped smoking cigars. I loved the decadence it implied, the closed circles a nice cigar opens for you, the feeling of being on top just because you have something many don't or will never even know about, like an ultra special limited 100 cigar release that someone gifts you. Yeah, why did I quit cigars? Maybe they cause memory loss, and here is the proof. About Cigarz on the Avenue, amazing selection, lots of hard-to-find brands and limited editions, everything is priced clearly and showcased on nice displays. They have a backroom, a few chairs, and gifts like ashtrays, cutters and lighters. Again, I cannot say how impressed I was. If you are wondering what am I doing in a cigar shop if I no longer smoke, well, every once in a while I pick up a cigar and smoke it in my backyard. Not socially, not even socially distanced, just to center myself in front of a backyard fire pit. If you didn't know, tobacco is a sacred plant, used by shamans/medicine men in the Americas. It is original to these lands, and to its people. Tobacco is used in multiple ways, not just to smoke or to make smoke. So, if you want to have a nice experience while smoking, maybe call in the Mayan God of Tobacco, or an African Orisha, and then let me know what happens (wink wink). This is a great cigar lounge. The owner has not only curated a great atmosphere along with a great selection of cigars and spirits, but the staff is amazing! A younger gentleman in particular(Tristan I believe) was extremely helpful in helping a friend of mine(novice smoker) pick out the perfect cigar. He definitely made our visit enjoyable and would highly recommend this lounge to any level of cigar aficionado. You can tell a lot about a business by the quality of people it hires. This place is fantastic. A small, quaint, & very homey atmosphere. The owner, Don, is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about cigars and accessories. He has been in the industry since he was 17 years old. He took 30 minutes to run me through the gauntlet of cigars, lighters, cutter, and humidors. Then he picked out a few cigars for me based on a few questions of my flavor palate. Well I know how being a cigar smoker can be tough with a lot of people not caring for the aroma. I was taken back when I went to the shop to get a Drew Estate Blondie and told I can not smoke it in the shop (bummer). I am sure they have their reasons, but I have never been excluded at a cigar shop and outcasted for smoking what I like. My favorite cigar provider so far. I became a brother of the leaf at 60 years of age while in DR a few months ago. I wanted a local place to explore what price and level of quality I could afford. This is The place! Great humidor and stock. Dan, I hope I have his name right, treated me as if I was the only and most important person in the store. Which obviously I am not. I was provided some basic rolled cigars from DR and Nicaragua, and then I got into the Davidoff, Padron, Arturo Fuentes and up! I've decided I'm a classic high quality smoker, with medium means of support, ha! But my humidor is full! I even got an anniversary box of Davidoff that you can't find on the internet because they are sold out. I'll have to let you rest your eyes before I tell you about the lounge part, But Dan had that covered as well. Women want a mani/pedi and I want a Double Jameson and a Padron! They remember your name and your drink and the service is excellent and the environment is managed so that you have a good peaceful smoke and get to feel like a millionaire. ventured into this little shop in search a cigar similar to that of a Cuban for my boyfriend my roommate as a thank you gift. The pungent smell of tobacco and fresh cigar smoke hit me hard as I walked in. A man standing behind the counter greeted me with a smile, showing his pearly off-white teeth. I told him what I was looking for and literally in less than a minute he had a cigar in hand and rambled on about the similarities between it and the infamous Cuban kind. Not knowing a lick about cigars, I said wrap it up, paid and left as fast as I could to escape the cigar fumes that filled that store. My boyfriend and roommate were very pleased with the cigars and the price, which wasn't cheap but not too expensive either...about $18 which is what they usually pay per cigar. According to them, it was "smooth" and tasted decent...not sure what a cigar is supposed to taste like, but they liked it. Overall, this is a good place to go if you're in search of a good cigar. I went to the new location on Oct 7th, 2021. The atmosphere was good and the staff was great! It was a bit loud which made it difficult to hold a conversation. My only issue was their prices. The selection of the cigars and liqueur were good but way over priced. The avg price for a drink was about the retail cost of the bottle. They don't provide a price list so make sure you ask how much before you order or be prepared for sticker shock when you get your bill. I ordered a glass of Buffalo Trace and was charged $25 for a single pour. That's the retail price for the bottle. read more

I stopped in here while I was at Park Avenue on this Sunday afternoon. The selection of cigars is great. Whether it be Cohiba, Davidoff, Arturo Fuente, Macanudo, Ashton, CVO, Romeo y Julieta, or any other top brand of cigar, you will find it here. A good selection of accessories, such as cigar cutters and lighters are also available. The service is friendly, and the staff are helpful with finding you a cigar to your liking. Cigarettes are also sold here, including import brands. The interior is dark, from the wood floor and the leather chairs, up to the black ceiling tile. Track lighting illuminates the cigar humidors, and a few of the display cases are lighted as well. You can purchase cigars to enjoy at home, or you can smoke your cigar there. As you walk in, there are six leather chairs around a table with lighters and ash trays provided for you. And the employees are more than happy to cut your cigar for you. There is also a lounge in the back where you can smoke your cigar. And read the Sunday paper. Like one gentleman was doing on my visit. It is nice to be able to go into a lounge and smoke a cigar in a air conditioned environment. Even though Cigarz has a great ventilation system, it still gets smokey. A caution to those that can get easily uncomfortable in a smokey environment. And being on Park Avenue, cigars here are pricey. But like I said, most of the cigars for sale here are top of the line from some of the best cigar manufacturers. Otherwise, the store and lounge area is very clean. And Cigarz also makes for a good place to people watch as Park Avenue patrons walk past the window while you kick back and smoke a stogie. On my visit, there were several regular customers seated around the front lounge area, smoking their select brand. But do not be timid. If there is a available chair, you are more than welcome to sit. The only problem I have with Cigarz On The Avenue is that its location is a drive from my residence. I love this little cigar shop. My boyfriend and I have been here quite a few times and the owner Don, is always there ready and willing to help with any questions and to make suggestions. He has never once led us astray or treated us poorly. (I'm sorry for you previous reviewers that said you experienced a less than satisfactory visit). I believe all the cigars Don has are top notch and the pricing is the same when compared to the major franchise, Corona. I find it amazing that he is able to keep his prices so low for his location (Park Ave) and the fact that he can't stock as much as the larger stores. The lounge area is small but it's comfy with the leather sofas and chairs. It feels like you're sitting in someone's living room really. Plus, there's an outdoor patio in the back which is nice to sit at and have a cold drink from Palmano's, next door. I like the location and whenever I'm in Winter Park I always stop by and say hi. They treat me like family here and I would rather give the small stores my business than the large chains and franchises. read more

Frankly, I know what I'm looking for, I'm just visiting for the weekend, and I needed a decent smoke. I was pleased with the selection, the prices were fine, and the staff were nice enough. They were neither rude nor wonderful. They were just fine. I was able tog et a good cigar at a decent price, cut it, and get a box of matches. The customer service is very good and the staff has been friendly every time I've gone. The selection is okay at best, but the quality is definitely there. The prices are high.
