Classy, chique, and the tidiest shop I've seen in ages!…read more Located in the high street of Erlangen, squeezed in between the enormous bookstore Thalia and the flashy store Butler's, this shop is often overlooked. Compared to other mammoth clothing stores down the road it's definitely on the small side, but it's worth including it in your next shopping spree. The staff is lovely, and you get this warm and fuzzy feeling of being well cared for, the one that most clothing stores nowadays lack. The clothes are rather classy (of course, that's a personal opinion), and the colours and variety depend strongly on the season. (During fall the shop is almost entirely black and white). One thing worth mentioning, however, is that it's a bit on the expensive side. Not Gucci-kind of expensive, mind you, but you won't be buying a shirt for 10-20€ here either. What always amazes me in this shop, however, is how tidy everything is. There are always some staff members running around, ensuring that the stacks of clothes are in perfect order. Having worked in a clothing store myself, I know fully well that this is a remarkable feat. I ended up buying the beautiful Opium coat; I knew it was "the one" the moment I tried it on. Ordinarily I wouldn't spend this much on a garment (400€ is a lot for me), but this stunning winter coat has details AND quality. There are two interior pockets with zips and six exterior pockets with various types of closures (open, button, and zip). My cell phone (iPhone 7+) fits comfortably in 4 of the 6 pockets. The belt buckle is beautiful. And the brand insignia is also really attractive (i.e., not cheesy or tacky looking). I feel surprisingly elegant in this puffer! I'm not familiar with the Wellensteyn brand, but I knew I wanted to buy something different AND beautifully constructed to keep me warm during the coldest months. And I absolutely refuse to waste my money on North Face, Eddie Bauer, Michael Kors, or Canada Goose. All of my research pointed to Wellensteyn. And after visiting the Nürnberg location and seeing the wide array of products firsthand, I understand why. The quality is visible and palpable. The sales clerk was helpful and attentive without being pushy or up-selling me. And she definitely knows the brand. She didn't bat an eye when I gave her my long list of wants, and she promptly returned with the best possible coat based on what I'd asked for. She also speaks English fluently, so if you're a foreigner who is as inept at speaking German as I am, have no fear! I've never been so excited for winter to start, because I cannot wait to wear my new coat!

I bought a stuff bear made from organic materials that plays music without batteries which was 39euro. It was the most expensive one there. The cheapest one was 17euro, same look just not organic or plays music. The sales lady was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this place for a special gift for a child you love.

Reebok? Rockport? Adidas? - A little bit of everything!…read more First of all, this is not only a Reebok Outlet - it's part of the Adidas Outlet across the street, but since Rockport and Reebok are Adidas-owned brands, that's exactly what you'll find here. Rockport shoes - classy leather shoes with a sports sole - are definitely something that you don't see a lot around here (yet). But they're really nice and apparently very comfortable, and if you buy them here, they are not that expensive either. Reebok clothes are basically sports clothes like Adidas and Puma, but they have their own style. Especially when it comes to shoes, Reebok is high on crossfit and dancing / indoor workout shoes, and usually they are a little bit funkier than your normal sports shoes (as in, 5 different luminescent colours on one shoe). And when it comes to Adidas, you can find plenty of Adidas NEO clothes and shoes here, the latest Adidas sub-brand, which is a lot cheaper than your regular Adidas stuff, but also less durable. It's more of a lifestyle brand than actual sports brand. All in all, you can get amazing deals here. The products change quite often (weekly even), but only last week I bought a pair of Adidas shoes here for 16€ (!!) - so if you're visiting the main Adidas Outlet, make sure to head across the street to this little shop, you don't want to miss out on the fantastic cheap deals! I should have just kept the clothes I wore in the 90s…read more.. I love this shop. And I hate it at the same time. I love it because it has so many nice clothes that I love wearing - I hate it because the clothes I love are now considered "cool" and "hip" - meaning they are sold for about 3 times the price they used to be... The entire shop has an urban (hence the name) look, loft-style and very nice. And in addition to clothes, you can buy lots of gadgets and stuff, like "inflatable unicorn-horns for your cat"....nope, not kidding. But again, all these knick-knacks and stuff are considered "fit for hipsters", meaning you will have to spend 20€ in order to dress up your cat - a bit expensive, in my eyes. So that is the main problem - there's no denying that this store is absolutely "cool" and full of really stylish clothes, but it's ridiculously expensive, considering that I used to own the same dungarees when I was 7 years old... Gosh I feel old. Bottom line: * stylish clothes * you pay extra for the style part * fab junk (inflatable unicorn horn for cats...)

Marmot is a US brand of sports wear and of course they make loads of winter jackets and other…read moreoutdoor stuff. Their stuff is generally of good quality and they vary in prices from reasonable to expensive. The store has a good selection of products and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They also speak ok English here so if you have difficulty with German then that is not a problem. Prices here were pretty decent and all in all a good shopping experience.

This is sort of your typical house and garden decoration store... You will find a lot of nice eye-catching pieces for your home (or for other homes if you are looking for gifts), from It appears to have a Swedish touch to it, the "Scandinavian style of living" they call it.... but apart from some Swedish signs and stuffed elks (which you can buy in the tourist shops in Sweden as well - I have the same ones at home - the ones with the Swedish flag on their tummies) it didn't strike me as specifically Swedish...Nevertheless, they sell wonderful and beautiful stuff, from chandeliers to pillows, lots of witty signs and a lot of decoration. It's slightly more expensive than your normal lifestyle shop, but it's worth it, the quality seems rather high and the things are just so beautiful! If I could, I would have bought the entire store!!
