I got robbed. You…read moreknow the story: well-lit area, felt safe, lots of people around. Never thought it would happen to me, yet it did. Officers from District One responded to the scene within minutes. Two cars, two Segway cops, and an undercover unit. In total, I had six officers arrive to help track down the thief. They listened, they asked the right questions, and explained to me what they were doing and how the process would work. An officer even accompanied me home to make sure I was safe. Later, I met with detectives to discuss activity on my account from the thief. They were able to use the information I provided to track down the suspect, make an arrest, and retrieve my property. It only took a week to get everything resolved. I was pleased with District One throughout the entire ordeal. From a quick police response time, to regular communication with detectives, and an increase in patrol following the incident, Cincinnati Police made me feel at ease during a stressful and traumatic time.

I report a theft from a business that went through my personal belongings, and when I politely asked for my items back, the employee was rude, dismissive, and passive aggressive. Called them for assistance and the first thing they do is side with her. Yeah, you all deserve ever that's coming to you.

I thought they came to my job which isn't even their area to patrol, I was robbed at gun point and they showed up first to look like hero's, but when crimes are being committed in their community they do nothing but sit and look pretty. I definitely regret moving here. And I recommend everyone I encounter that ask to move to a nice area to avoid green township. It's a joke. You are better dealing with Cincinnati police who actually fight real crimes. I can't believe these officers decided to be law enforcement just to play police. No point in contacting officer Mitch the supervisor he is a joke too. The only hope is to try to contact the head of green township administration Frank Burkenhower to maybe address their laziness. Always record your encounters. They don't turn on body cam when they are sneaky. Be careful ladies.

Went to file a report the next day.....got treated like I was doing something wrong. The report that was typed up was incorrectly, with the fact the teenage girl was texting when she slammed into the back of me. I will never bother them again, you can tell when you walk in they hate their jobs and us citizens just cause them more paperwork. If you are in trouble I wouldn't call em.

Driving down the road slowing to almost a stop to turn a corner on my way home, there is no one behind me. I turn onto my street to my home which is a block away. I yield going through the light as people fly through there. No one is behind me. No cop. No civilian. I pull up to my home, park, turn the car off, grab my groceries, open the door and step out. "GET BACK IN THE CAR GET BACK IN THE CAR NOW!!!!!!!" Is all I hear as the lights on the car start whirling. I was in shock....where the hell did he just come from. After a moment I get back into the car. I was afraid to roll the window down all the way because he was screaming at me with his hand over his gun and the strap that holds it down open. I thought he'd shoot me in the face. So I locked the doors quickly and rolled the window to a crack. The office walked up to the window after a moment passed. "You DO NOT EXIT the vehicle. This is a routine traffic stop." I did not understand the significance of stating what he was doing. This was clearly not routine or okay. I told him that this was my home, I was not sure if he thought that I was trying to elude him or what, but. He wasn't there when I looked and those lights didn't come on until I was parked. He told me that I was doing 60 on a 35....that wasn't even possible, because the point in which he could have gotten behind me would have been as I was turning a corner. I certainly didn't hit a corner doing 60 in a mini SUV....He asked for my license and insurance as he pulled on the door handle. Why was he pulling on the handle. Do officers open civilians doors during routine traffic stops too? and what was he going to do once he opened it???? I handed them to him and he asked me where I was coming from. I stated the store. I then asked him where he was coming from and when he got behind me. He pulled on my door handle again as he stammered over his words. Then repeating that I should not have exited the car. I asked to see the gadget that clocks our speed. HE WAS NOT BEHIND ME! It doesn't even matter at this point that I was not speeding, because even if I was, he wasn't anywhere near me. He replied, "I can't, it disappeared...." Pulling on my door handle for the third or fourth time before walking back to his car to write up the ticket. I called his superior as soon as I got in the house. He never called me back. But the officer whom seemed much like his call screen-er, confirmed after the 3rd call that he watched the officers video on his car. He stated, "Yes ma'am, I have seen the video and you are correct, the Officer did not get behind your vehicle and turn on his lights until AFTER you were parked." He also confirmed that he did not get behind me from the street that was in fact 35 mph, which means he exited a residential street. None of which I was driving 60 mph on. "Unfortunately you will still need to go to court for that ticket and maybe they can do something for you." I asked if this is a regular practice for their officers to harass small black women late at night who are on their way home. He stated that he was sorry that this happened and he would speak with the officer. He was confident though, that this had nothing to do with my race. Which is funny. Why did a white man think he knew if another white man was profiling or not? Magistrate wouldn't even entertain the conversation because no one wants to admit that some of these gentleman conduct themselves in manners that effect the public perception and comfort. I AM AFRAID OF YOU! Because I can't even follow the law and still live in peace! It cost me 100.00 to be harassed by an officer who wasn't even per the county I was in, possibly just leaving another person to whom he issued a ticket. Hope I helped you make your quota.
