Please listen to the other reviews. This place should be treated as an absolute last resort for pedi only! I would never ever get a mani or full set here. The pictures alone will let you know the quality you'll get. The lady I assume owner is nice. There was a bit of pain when she was cutting my nails. I did a regular pedi with white. It's decent. Passable. The 2nd issue was when paying. As soon as I took my card out she said "no cash" I said no. She asked "no cash for tip" also a no. She then said $25. I was staring at the prices and it said $18. I then asked her it says $18 here and she said ohh callus remover (I never asked for it) , which I then responded to by saying "that still makes it $23 not $25". I told her to charge $25. $2 tip or she charged what she wanted but no tip. Take it how you want. Her attitude instantly changed. Please don't spend your $ here. There is no peaceful, calm, relaxed vibe to it. Overall I can't see anyone having a great experience here. read more

I should of went with my intuition and leave the second I saw the owner wearing no mask. But stupid me decided to stay and not say anything. maybe because I was in shock. Well it got worse the sanitation here is really bad they do not clean and sanitize anything. I saw her use the same tools on the same people and to top it off my nails are all uneven, acrylic on my cuticles they are hurting so bad. I tried to give this place a chance so many mixed reviews but this place with everything going on is not up to sanitation standards one bit not even the normal standards of a nail salon. I came in from out of town to Cindys nail for an emergency hang nail situation. All night my toe has been in so much pain from my nail and I'm not from Southern California so I came to the first place I could find. Cindy, the owner, brought me in fixed my toe within minutes and didn't even charge me! She was so kind and sweet and helped me so much. 1st time Coming in I waited about 10 min for a pedi. Didn't ask what type of pedi I wanted, the pedi took maybe like 12 min, and it wasn't all that great nail polish was still on my nail. ThI felt super rushed. When I was ready to pay she save said you have cash for me I said no just card she procede to say her matching wasn't working but at the end it did. She said do you have cash tip. I said yes. So I felt I HAD to tip. Just over all my experience was not great. If your looking for a nice pedi where you can relax this is not the place. I'm sorry but I really don't like this place. I found this place driving around since 3 other nail salons I've been to were too busy. There is nothing that annoys me more then a slow nail tech! My daughter got a full set, I got a fill. My fill took over an hour. My daughters was done by a different tech who finished her's before mine. I couldn't believe that. So not only was my lady slow but she cut me, hurt me several times, nails were not even so I kept having to show her. The color I chose was darker and after 3 coats it came out very light. Maybe she didn't grab right one... I don't know. But she asked me if it was better and I said "no but it's going to have to be cause I need to go!". Some nails appear darker then others. I would give this place a 1/2 star but its not an option, also the lady who did my names (Tammy) was extremely sweet. I did a mani+pedi and I got to say the workmanship was horrible, also i had a holiday party to go to so I asked for a snowflake or something Christmas looking. Man o man my snow flake looks like a snowman puked on my nails! If you cannot do it, then don't offer it and charge me for it! I will definitely not be going back. I went back to this place after staying away for years! Now I remember why....I had given my nails a break for 4 months just to get a really bad set. It's only been a few days with my new set. I don't like giving negative reviews, but I left pretty disappointed with the work Ivonne did on my hands. Daisy did an amazing job on my toes and took her time painting my nails. Ivonne on the other hand... she didn't understand when asked her politely to please clean up the nails around my skin. She didn't do any of the work needed unless I asked her to. I NEVER Yelp because I often find ratings that completely counter my opinion of a business. Couldn't get into my normal salon so drove around to find another close by. Spare yourself is all I can say. Limited polish selection and the ones they had were off brand and separated. I contemplated walking out at that point and should have. Owner seemed nice but place has an underlying unsanitary feel and as someone in healthcare it made me uncomfortable- cold water to soak nails in. Disinfection of pedicure seemed minimal. The person who did my nails never responded to my " OW" comments and merely giggled. Couldn't process that i wanted my nails cut . Polish was spotted and uneven. Today was my first time there. I would like to start off by saying the owner and workers were so kind and enjoyable. The reason I walked out in the middle of my appointment was for sanitation and workmanship. The water in the pedicure tub had dirty floating chunks of left over residue. I pointed it out and ask that they fully drain the water but that didn't help. Then as my uncomfortable anxiety grew I noticed the fill on my nails was lifting already. So I got up, said I won't stay but I will pay For the small amount of work done. The owner asked for 48$!! I said no way I will give you 25$. More arguing. I cannot recommend going here. I asked for all white acrylics in oval, and was given stiletto nails that were French tip, not the same at all. When I politely asked her to change them to what I asked for she said it was too late and wouldn't change them. I had gone with a couple of friends and my sister and no more than a week later my sisters finger developed a fungus that lasted for a very very long time. read more

Poor Cindy. The day that I went there, one of her girls didn't show up and she had to turn people away left and right. At the beginning of the appointment, we had a great time and she let me help her choose what gel colors to purchase for the future. Then things changed. Cindy was very stressed about her employee and you could tell. Her work was a very rushed and uneven. Also, although I told her that my nails were very thin and I didn't want to make them any thinner, she used a dremel tool that made my nails so thin that even when I had a gel polish they broke within two days. Then she tried to give me fewer coats of gel than I've ever received anywhere else. In the end, I would probably not go back but if you need a quick cheap manicure, try it out. read more

I have been a regular at Cindy Nails for over 20 years now. I had my nails done there was for my 7th grade Homecoming dance and have been going back ever since. When my brother finished his basic training at M.C.R.D., his feet were wrecked from running/hiking fifteen miles a day. They were so callused that when he stepped on our youngest brother's Lego's , he didn't react at all. My mom, sister and I decided to take him to Cindy's hoping that they could get through the calluses. Dave fought tail and nail,but eventually bent to our will. The ladies were a bit taken aback when they saw the condition of his feet. After basically reenacting the salon scene in Dumb and Dumber (and telling Dave to "Pick your color",between hand muffled giggles) his feet were back to normal. Even Dave, was impressed. In conclusion,Cindy Nails is the best in North County. They are professional, thorough (no chipped polish,cracks or splits),quick,personable (who cares if they don't all speak English fluently?) and most importantly, willing to contend with my brother's disgusting callus covered ,"Hobbit hairy" feet for a mere $25.00. read more
