Although we had already done a ton of research on the towns/schools/areas that we were interested in, Karrie was able to answer any additional questions we had about our top two neighborhoods. We only saw a few houses with Karrie and very quickly found "the one"! In the houses that we saw with Karrie she definitely gave us a good perspective as to what is typical/unique about each property. Since she has seen a ton of houses in her lifetime it was nice to have answers to almost every question we had (is this a large space for the price point, are yards for this style of house typically this size, etc.) My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the home-buying process and we do not think it could have been as speedy and pleasurable if it wasn't for Karrie. She walked us through every detail and went above and beyond what we were expecting from a realtor. She really knows her stuff - and despite the overwhelming paperwork and minor details involved with buying a home we never had any doubts and felt very comfortable when it came to finalizing decisions. On a side note: Karrie has a lot of connections and recommendations when it comes to all the other steps you have to go through when buying a home. For instance, you need a good home inspector and mortgage lender and sometimes you need to get estimates and require professionals such as a roofer and a contractor who can put numbers together for you quickly. Karrie not only had contacts for each of these professionals but they all were excellent to work with and proved to be timely and reliable. My husband and I are very independent and, to be honest, we don't always do well when we have to ask for help or rely on others. The idea of having to trust someone that you have only just met with guiding you through this colossal process was frightening. The highest compliment I can give to Karrie is that she made us comfortable from the very beginning and she always had answers and a plan. She asked us what we wanted to do of course, since it's our decision, but she was very good at explaining the upside and downside of each decision and the potential results. To give a little background, in the past 5 years I've lived in four different states. While it's always fun to think about living in a new city, the worst part of it all is trying to find a place to live - especially in a bigger city like New York and Philadelphia. While we can list out about 100 things that's amazing about Colleen, here are the two which meant the most to us: 1. Did we visit all of it? Nope. And it's not because she was lazy, it's because after spending time with us she knew what type of apartments and/or neighborhoods were a good fit for us. She prioritized those the places which fit our needs first. The only problem we had after our rental tour was having to pick only ONE place to live! Definitely a good problem to have! Once we finally decided to put in an application in, she made life easier for us by handling the paperwork and more. We went on a tour on Sunday, debated for 2 days which apartment to pick, and by the end of the week we were approved for move-in:) The most painless apartment hunting I've ever had in my life!
