If you are craving Chinese food when in Redmond this is the place for you. We always visit when we come to Eagle Crest for vacation. The Mu Shu Chicken is amazing and worth the visit alone. We also love the BBQ Pork and Fried Shrimp (careful the dipping sauce is spicy...even without the hot mustard). First I would like to say that I have ordered Cindy's Chinese many times and have always loved their food. Today is my birthday and I chose this for my birthday dinner tonight. I love Cindy's pot stickers and especially choose them because I LOVE MU SHU!! But am absolutely so confused how this made it past anyone in the kitchen. My rice pancakes showed up 30 minutes ago and after unwrapping them to enjoy my birthday mu shu chicken can see that they are completely molded. These are not left overs, this is not a old picture. The food is always outstanding, I have never been disappointed in the quality, quantity, or plate presentation of the food. Today, I called in an order for Snow Pea Sauté and as expected it looked fabulous, tasted delicious, and was enough to save some for tomorrows lunch. When I called, the ordering process was easy. The woman taking the order was kind and courteous. The order was ready in 10 minutes and when I picked it up, the restaurant lobby and dining area were clean even though it was 1pm and the place was still busy with lunch traffic. Cindy's ruined our Christmas Eve traditional dinner. We always do asian food for Christmas Eve. Chose Cindy's this year and wish I had not because ended up throwing 84.00 worth of food in trash. So bad even dog would not eat some of it. Definitely tasted like frozen that was reheatd and was mush. The appetizer that was fried was so oily i squeezed oil out of the fried prawn/shrimp. Bbq pork was dry and inedible. The entrees were super mushy in vegetables and tasted like frozen and meat was dry even covered in sauce which was bland and almost flavorless. It was so bad that it gave all of us who tried to eat it stomach aches. If I could give a 0 stars I would. Have been here in past and it was good , which is why I choose for take out for our Christmas eve. Never again will they get our money. read more

We have been going to Cindy's since she had a place in Bend down by Fred Meyers over 20 yrs ago. Then she upgraded and moved to RDM. We have never had a bad meal here! Ordered one of the family style with beef and broccoli and didn't get that at all. Redmond, OR isn't China Town in San Francisco, so don't expect the same quality and style of Chinese food here. That said, the food was good enough and my take out order was ready very quickly. For the first time we visited Cindy's in Redmond this weekend. Very nicely decorated and staff very attentive. The restaurant is large so we could easily get in on a Friday night. They have a extensive menu. We both like tofu and coincidentally ordered dishes with tofu in them. I ordered the Ma Po Tofu and my husband ordered a curried tofu dish. The portions are very generous and the service is fast. The food was ok, but not as flavorful as we are used to. Seemed a bit bland. The Ma Po Tofu did not have any ground pork, which I am used to seeing. No green onion either or pickled vegetable. The sauce was slightly sweet, which surprised me. The curried tofu dish was bland and had lots of celery in it. Perhaps we just ordered the wrong things, or it was an off night. read more

We hadn't had Chinese food for awhile. We ordered from Cindy's and were not disappointed. I had Chicken and Snow Peas my husband had Beef Kung Pow with it being not as hot as usual. First and last time there. The chicken chow mein was mostly large chunky noodles (thicker than normal noodles! The pork fried rice was dry and I found one mini piece of pork - zero flavor. The vegetable roll was edible, but not great. Fried shrimp had more batter than any I have ever encountered with very small piece of shrimp inside and very greasy and overcooked. This was the first time I have ever not eaten all of my fried shrimp. My husband ordered different food and it was also not good. I could only think of one word when we left - yuck. Solid 3.5 star meal. I rounded up because I'm feeling generous. We got takeout which came with all the fixings of sauces and fortune cookies. The true star was the potstickers. They were super huge and thick and obviously handmade. The low point were the crab puffs. Way more puff than crab- like 1/4 filling to 3/4 pastry. The sweet n sour chicken was pretty great, lightly breaded and a flavorful sauce. The fried rice was okay, as was the beef lo mein. Both weren't bad but nothing amazing. I hate celery in my noodles but that's mostly a personal vendetta against the vegetable. Not sure it all was worth the $50 but we have plenty of leftovers and didn't leave the table hungry, that's for sure. read more

I can agree with my grandma, this place is by far the best Chinese food in Redmond, no wait, in Central Oregon! My grandma was a smart cookie. Her favorite item was the paper wrapped chicken. This restaurant is one of those places that brings comfort to the soul and the belly, and a place I visited often with my grandmother, even celebrating her 96th birthday here. Not many places can I feel her presence, but this is always one. Never had a negative experience or dish I left behind. The portions are extremely generous, the restaurant is always crisp and clean, and the employees always have a smile to share. You can tell when an employee likes their job, as well as the employees that pretend to like their job... this is a warm, happy place. The food dishes are not overpriced, in fact, the two of us had a dinner entree each and two appetizers for under $40.00. The sweet and sour chicken was not over breaded, and the Szechwan chicken was not mostly vegetables. There is nothing worse than wondering if that piece even had chicken in it. Or even worse, if it was from three days earlier. The pot stickers were freshly made and tasted great - along with the three entrees we ordered: Moo Shu Pork was freshly made along with the chicken and crispy veggies.
