Kidding, I was pretty bad. Anyway, every year they host the jubilee which is basically the Coachella of New Glasgow (kind of pathetic). So if you've wanted to see the Trews, you can catch them at the jubilee since they play every year. This is also where you can watch the dragon boat races.

I recently saw Bruce Cockburn play here, and the small atmosphere made for a very intimate gathering. What's cool about this venue, is that it was designed to open up in the warm weather, allowing the entire building to act as an outdoor stage for larger concerts. The signature annual event is the NG Music Jubilee, which takes place every August long weekend. All in all, a great little spot located right on the water in downtown New Glasgow.

If you've been to other Empire locations in NS or other provinces, you'll immediately notice how consistent things are, and the new set up in the foyer and main lobby is much better than previously. Staff are courteous, although when you purchase at the kiosk, you don't interact with many people. Everything is clean and well-maintained, and its a good spot to catch a summer flick.
