We opted for a Tuesday morning matinee at Cinemark. This was my first time visiting and I was impressed with how clean and organized the place was. Even better, I loved the heating/cooling recliner seats inside the theatre itself, amazing. I can't remember the last time I was so comfy watching a horror movie on the big screen. I typically bring earplugs to the movies due to how loud it can get, and good thing, the sound was loud but also very clear. Should I decide to break my rule and go to the movies again, it'll be to visit Cinemark again.

Recently though, we went to to see Wicked for Good on Christmas Day. The staffers at the ticket scanning area were all friendly and nice on Christmas. We took the escalator to the second floor theaters. When we were close to the top, I looked back and down to see the concession stand and lobby on the first. I had a flashback to the 90s. Despite AMC Wayne in need of a refresh or update, it looked to us like the theater still is well maintained and kept clean. The only negative thing that happened involved the lights not being lowered/turned off. Wicked for Good started and the house lights were still 100% on. My husband ended up going downstairs to the ticket scanners to ask them to rectify the situation and shut off the lights. Things happen, but it was surprising it happened. The important thing is that they resolved the issue.

The attendants at the concessions were very nice and quick with our order. The popcorn does sit there for a bit, which is different than with other movie theaters I have been to lately, but it's all about demand so if no one is getting it, I get that it makes no sense to continuously make it. The parking lot is a bit tight, I think it would be a good idea to expand into the lot behind as we had to sit for a bit and wait for someone to leave.

IPic already sets a high bar for the movie theater experience, but this location clears it. Looking forward to many more movies here. Also, there is a parking lot across the street. It's very small inside but it's very clean and has comfortable reclining seating and it's affordable. As of July 2024,tickets early in the day are $10.00 and $13.50 later in the day. The concession stand moves quickly and customer service is good. Food portions are fair as well. They also have a self serve soda machine with the coolest option to add syrup to your drinks. The syrup flavors are (Cherry, Strawberry, Vanilla and lemon) I've never seen that before. So that was awesome for sure. If you're ever in Matamoras or Port Jervis area, I recommend this movie theater.

You can purchase tickets/reserve your seat ahead of time online or you can use the self-service kiosks. They have a daily matinee discount for 25% before 4pm. If you're a movie enthusiast and want to save money, consider signing up for their AMC Stubs membership. The concession area has all of your favorite movie snacks, but this location also offers a dine-in experience with more menu options. You can put in a mobile order through the app (before the movie start time) or order at the counter and they'll deliver the food right to your seat. You cannot order on the app during showtime. You have to leave your seat and go back to the counter if you want more. They offer sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, wings, nachos, etc. Nothing fancy, just your typical greasy foods.
