My girlfriend and I came to this Cinepolos VIP to watch Terrifier 3. We took an uber to the…read moreshopping center in which this place sits, and walked toward the cinema. At the very front, we purchased out tickets at the self-service screen. Once that was done, we walked on through and proceeded to our seats. This cinema is like the iPic theaters back home in LA. The seats recline back and are comfortable. We were able to order food and drinks from out seats, which was also cool. I ordered sushi, cappuccino, and a bottled water. The sushi was a huge upset. I know not to expect much from movie theater sushi, but for goodness sakes, it shouldn't sit uneasy in my stomach. The cappuccino was ok, and they could not mess up the water. The movie itself was gory, but as someone who works in healthcare, I was not phased. There are some aspects that I didn't like, but I won't go over that here, and I won't be writing spoilers for anyone. On the positive side, the customer service was decent. When I hailed one of the attendants, they were quick to respond, and got us our snacks and drinks in a reasonable amount of time. The theater as a whole is kept clean, and the place is run efficiently. This is an alright option to watch movies in Polanco. As long as you stay away from the sushi, everything else is fine.

There were about 10 rows of sets of 2 couches, side by side in each row. The couches were leather and reclined all the way. They also served food during the movie, that a waiter came around to bring. I sampled the keylime pie crepe and it wasn't bad, but it took quite a bit to deliver. The previews took forever (15 minutes but thats every theater these days). The sound quality and movie screen were top notch. I am sure there are fancier VIPs theaters, but on tuesdays its 2 for 1 movie tickets here, so it comes out to around $3.50 a person, cant beat that price (in NYC its prob 5 times that.). If your in polanco come check out a film after seeing some of the museums or malls. Just pick a better choice then Alien covenant :).

The tamarindo drink was insanely refreshing, sweet and a lil sour. The lavender drink is washed over butter (not sure what that means) and so it's sweet like vanilla, creamy, and has hints of butter. 10/10 I sat under an awning while it was raining and the vibes were immaculate. Great spot for a date night. Will be back.
