As you would expect from all Cineworlds it is a large screen cinema and entertainment complex that also incorporates Chicago Rock cafe & Yates wine lodge. One of the most disappointing things about this cinema would you believe is the toilets, it seems to have been a problem for a while now. They always stink and aren't kept that clean, so if you can I'd advise you to hold it in. Cineworld is situated just around the corner from where the old cinema once stood. There are always loads of films to see and with the size of the place you would expect that to be the case. It is a good idea to check their website or give them a call as they tend to have specials on offering cheaper films for children to see. The staff are generally pretty friendly and though the prices have gone up recently they are still reasonable. If your one of the one's who tend to go to the cinemas often id advise you to get a monthly cinema pass as this will save you a lot of money. Parking outside the cinema is free though the spaces tend to get filled up quickly so be aware of that and give yourself enough time before the film starts to get yourself a space. There are quite a few good places to eat, in and around the complex, and a Tesco not far so if your looking to save a few pennies and you do what I tend to do, get your sweets in there first. Cineworld in St Helens is a good cinema and a bit out of a way out of Liverpool town which is a bit of bonus if you like going to cinema at weekend. read more

We take the kids here on a saturday morning for the £1 older films from a few months back. Really nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. pricing is cheap on junior film saturday morning. expensive on normal days/nights I also took them to see Michael Jackson's film on a weekday night and I have to say that was very expensive which is why I take them to the saturday morning junior films! I couldn't take them all to see a 'new' film very often. Biggest draw back to this cinema is the parking!! AWFUL.. Very limited spaces for a place that has a pizza hut next to it too.. so can get full fast so you have to drive out and find street parking. Be wary of parking in the next door carpark facility.. they clamp you there if you are not a permit holder... so don't risk it is my advice. Nice cinema though, have used it a few times and would again. food is EXPENSIVE!! draw back to all cinemas these days.. take your own is my advice ;-) read more

As the only cinema in St Helens, it can get very busy here - car park is inadequate and often full! Screens and toilets always thoroughly cleaned, staff always available and polite. As well as your usual popcorn and sweets, also has a baskin robbins ice cream counter and pick and mix area. Food and drinks are generally expensive - i'd recommend you take your own! £1 films for children on a Saturday morning is very popular - avoid going at this time! read more

This is an excellent cinema, with a good choice of screens to view, showing a selection of films. The staff are mostly extremely helpful and will explain things to most unenlightened newcomers (including me!) Special offers on a Tuesday as well as Orange Wednesday. read more

It's totally generic, big screens, shows all the new blockbusters and has free parking. They lose a point as the toilets always stink - and after you've slurped your way through their MASSIVE drinks you always inevitable have to go! Grrrr. read more

Multiplex cinema which shows all of the new mainstream releases. Not the type of cinema you'd go to for more obscure films such as the 'Film Four' sort of films. Personally I prefer the 'Film Four' films. Also I recommend you take your own refreshments as the prices for nibbles are extortionate. read more

This is pretty much your bog-standard multiscreen cinema. Very handy for anyone within a few miles, as it saves traipsing into Liverpool. As well as the usual mainstream releases, you get the occasional classic film. For example, last Christmas I saw It's a Wonderful Life, and earlier on, at Halloween, I was delighted to see the reissue of Hammer's 1958 Dracula there. Refreshment-wise, expect to pay through the nose, as seems to be customary in cinemas these days. If you want anything substantial to eat and drink, be prepared to pay a ridiculous £10 a head or more. A much better idea is to go nextdoor to Pizza Hut, or walk the short distance into the town centre to grab a bite to eat (though I must admit, even I can't resist Cineworld's Baskin Robbins ice cream)! read more

This cinema is pretty good. The free parking is right next to the cinema and there's usually spaces. The choice of films is standard multiplex stuff, it never shows any of the world cinema genre. Inside staff are polite and helpful. It's the same price as other cinemas which can be expensive - Bargain Tuesdays is always a good time to go. The seats are comfy and it's normally clean and tidy. read more

This cinema is right in the centre of st helens,i use to never be away from this place,as me and my boyfriend got cinema passes, in which you could watch as many films as you liked for £12.99 a month which is a great price seen as a single ticket any night of the week is £6.30. They have a section of the cinema as you walk in with machines full of games etc,which is good for the teenagers i suppose. The pick and mix section in the cinema has a great selection,also it is avalilable to get popcorn selection of rinks,hotdogs,sweets,chocolate etc. The screens in the screening are quite large,the toliets are very large also. Staff are always friendly,but most of them of young college students. read more

Cinema staff always polite and helpful, the screens etc are spotless. However I received a parking ticket for £100 for just parking on the designated car park. I have appealed and hopefully it's a mistake! So, for this visit alone it gets a one star rating. read more

I give Cineworld in St Helens 3 stars. If we're to break it down to a star staff friendliness, a star for snacks and drink and the final star for the general film/ screen experience. A star lLost for general cleanliness. I found chewing gum by floor directly in front of my seat. The toilets were awful - it literally felt like was in a toilet of a major sporting event and I caught the tail end of the half time rush and finally the last lost star because of the ticketing arrangement being where you get your food from. Because where's the tills were placed it led to over crowding near the aces and egress points. read more

The multi-screen cinema is situated around the corner from where the old cinema stood. There are numerous films to see and they are constantly updated and there are also specials on at times, offering cheaper films for children's and sometimes even free previews for all (see other websites for information in relation to free tickets). The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable, although for frequent film goers it would be advisable to get a cinema pass. Parking is available, although the spaces get filled quickly. Also close by are several places to dine after (or even before) you eat your popcorn! read more

cineworld is right next to pizza hut good for if you wanted some food before you watch a film, its next to the college car park that you can park on after college hours are over prior to that you will get clamped unless you go on the small pizza hut carpark. it is a bit expensive around £17 for two people to watch a film an then if you wanted some snaks as well its almost a night out you could of had instead. the cinima itself is good tho and if there is any problems with the picture they might give you a free pass for next time you go read more
