I've been lucky the two times I've been here. Both in my ability to see the movie and the movies I've seen. Every other Wednesday they have "Pay After" movies. What movie you'll see is a surprise, but the good news is you only pay what you think it was worth (or how much change you have in your pocket). They have a good selection of movies, not just your Hollywood films. And the prices are reasonable. So the loss of stars just comes from the actual theater. Meaning smaller screens and less than optimal seating.

Word to the wise: google what the ticket price is before going to the theater. While I recognize…read morethat Switzerland is very expensive, I was still shocked by the ticket prices: $43 USD (38 CHF) for 2 movie tickets. And what do you get for $43? Small, dirty (had to clean off chairs ourselves) theater with assigned seating. Me thinks not.

I live the fact that they play all foreign films in their original versions. I've seen one movie…read morethere so far and the theater was clean and decent. The way they sell tickets remains to be organized. The French don't really know how to stand in a line, so you kind of walk into a crowd hoping that you'll make it to the ticket counter. All in all, it's great to have a cinema like this in a small city like Nancy.

The female restroom is pretty cool with tv screens all over, including on the floor of each stall. Also spacious with cute sinks and awesome hand dryers that don't appear to be the Dyson ones, but instead shoot out air via tons of little holes with a nice massaging effect. You can call ahead to make reservations and then pick up and pay for the tickets prior to the movie. I brought my old 3D glasses from when I watched Avatar here a few years ago, and they exchanged it for the new Hobbit ones for free. Yay, saved CHF 3! The back of the ticket also had a coupon for Burger King, so we went to get a snack before the show. Saved another CHF 3. :) Summary: Awesome theater with great sound system, comfy seating, and fantastic to hang out with friends or for a date.
